Qualified Medical Expenses definition

Qualified Medical Expenses as defined in Code Section 223(d)(2), means amounts paid for certain specified (but not all) expenses related to medical care. (See Section

More Definitions of Qualified Medical Expenses

Qualified Medical Expenses means the term as defined by Section 223(d)(2) of the Code, which includes amounts that are paid for medical care as defined in Code Section 213(d) for the Account Owner, his or her spouse, or dependents (as defined in Section 152 of the Code) to the extent such amounts are not compensated for by insurance or otherwise, and excludes certain types of expenses for HSA purposes.
Qualified Medical Expenses means amounts paid for medical care as defined in Internal Revenue Code section 213(d) for you, your spouse, or your tax dependents as defined in the relevant IRS Rules, but only to the extent that such amounts are not compensated by insurance or otherwise.
Qualified Medical Expenses means expenses incurred for medical care (as defined in Code Section 213(d)), including but not limited to expenses for diagnosis, cure, mitigation or treatment of disease or injury to the body or mind, or the prevention of such disease. Qualified Medical Expenses shall have broadest permissible meaning under Section 213(d) of the Code and shall include, without limitation, Required Contributions under the ALPA Retiree Health Plan, Medicare Part B premiums, Medicare supplemental insurance premiums, Tricare premiums, medical and prescription drug expenses necessary to satisfy insurance deductibles, co-payments, co- insurance payments and out of pocket maxima, and any other qualified medical expense described in IRS Publication 502.
