Refinery unit definition

Refinery unit means a set of components which are a part of a basic process operation, such as distillation, hydrotreating, cracking or reforming of hydrocarbons.
Refinery unit means equipment assembled to produce intermediate or final products from crude oil, unfinished crude oil derivatives, or other intermediates. A refinery unit can operate independently if supplied with sufficient feed or raw materials and sufficient storage facilities for the product.
