Remediation Action definition

Remediation Action means any action to mitigate, remediate, monitor or otherwise respond to the presence of Hazardous Substances in the Environment and on, in, at, upon or from the Leased Real Property or the Owned Real Property required by or under any Environmental Law.
Remediation Action is as defined in paragraph 8 of Part 1 of Schedule 6 (Environment);
Remediation Action has the meaning set forth in Section 5.3(d) hereof.

Examples of Remediation Action in a sentence

  • Such activities to be undertaken in connection with the Remediation Action include, but are not limited to, sampling existing monitoring xxxxx; installing and sampling new monitoring xxxxx; repairing existing pipes and electrical conduit; trenching, installing and repairing new pipes and electrical conduit; and maintaining, repairing and improving the hydraulic control system.

  • A Remediation Action Plan must be submitted to IOGC and the First Nation for review and approval prior to initiating remediation activities.

  • Any variations to the approved Remediation Action Plan shall be approved in writing by the Site Auditor and Council's Area Planning Manager prior to the commencement of such work.

  • The Contractor will engage a site auditor to prepare the Contractor Remediation Statement in accordance with the Remediation Action Plan and anything else required by law, including under the Contaminated Land Management Act.

  • In the event that Grantee wishes to make improvements to the Property while this easement is in effect, such improvements shall be subject to Grantor’s review and approval to confirm such improvements will not adversely interfere with the Remediation Action, which approval will not be unreasonably withheld or delayed.

  • PARKS acknowledges that the Xxxxxx Project Development Costs, including the Remediation Action Costs that UW and WSDOT have agreed to pay PARKS under this Development Agreement, are based on PARKS’ estimate of those costs.

Remediation Action means (i) preventing, limiting, removing, remedying, cleaning-up, abating or containing the presence or effect of any Hazardous Matter in the Environment (including the Environment at any Property and/or at the Other Property) or (ii) carrying out investigative work and obtaining legal and other professional advice as is reasonably required in relation to (i).

  • Remediation means, with respect to an Environmental Condition, the implementation and completion of any remedial, removal, response, construction, closure, disposal or other corrective actions required under Environmental Laws to correct or remove such Environmental Condition.

  • Remedial Action means all actions required to (a) clean up, remove, treat, or otherwise address Hazardous Materials in the indoor or outdoor environment, (b) prevent the Release or threat of Release or minimize the further Release of Hazardous Materials so that they do not migrate or endanger or threaten to endanger public health or welfare or the indoor or outdoor environment, or (c) perform pre-remedial studies and investigations and post-remedial monitoring and care.

  • Cleanup means actions necessary to contain, collect, control, identify, analyze, clean up, treat, disperse, remove or dispose of a hazardous substance.

  • Corrective action means action taken to eliminate the cause of a potential or real non- conformity or other undesirable situation;

  • Remediate means investigation, assessment, characterization, delineation, monitoring, sampling, analysis, removal action, remedial action, response action, corrective action, mitigation, treatment or cleanup of Hazardous Materials or other similar actions as required by any applicable Environmental Laws from soil, land surface, groundwater, sediment, surface water, or subsurface strata or otherwise for the general protection of human health and the environment.

  • Decontamination means a procedure whereby health measures are taken to eliminate an infectious or toxic agent or matter on a human or animal body surface, in or on a product prepared for consumption or on other inanimate objects, including conveyances, that may constitute a public health risk;

  • Action shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 3.1(j).

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Liabilities means any cost, damages, expense, liability, obligation or other responsibility arising from or under Environmental Law or Occupational Safety and Health Law and consisting of or relating to:
