Renting or Leasing definition

Renting or Leasing a lot shall mean the granting of a right to use or occupy a lot, for a specified term or an indefinite term, whether or not rent is paid. It shall not mean or include joint ownership of a lot (by means of joint tenancy, tenancy- in-common or other forms of co-ownership), or the occupancy of a lot by any person who resides in a lot with its lot owner or a related party, whether or not rent is charged.
Renting or Leasing a Unit means the granting of a right to use or occupy a Unit, for a specific term or indefinite term (with rent reserved on a periodic basis), in exchange for the payment of rent (that is, money, property or other goods or services of value); but shall not mean and include joint ownership of a Unit by means of joint tenancy, tenancy- in-common or other forms of co-ownership.
Renting or Leasing an Apartment shall mean the granting of a right to use or occupy an Apartment, for a specified term or indefinite term (with rent reserved on a periodic basis), in exchange for the payment of rent (that is, money, property or other goods or services of value); but shall not mean and include joint ownership of an Apartment by means of joint tenancy, tenancy-in-common or other forms of co-ownership.

  • Lessee means a person who acquires the right to possession and use of goods under a lease. Unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the term includes a sublessee.

  • Agricultural property means property that is used primarily for agricultural purposes but, without derogating from section 9 of the MPRA, excludes any portion thereof that is used commercially for the hospitality of guests, and excludes the use of the property for the purpose of eco-tourism or for the trading in or hunting of game;

  • Mining Property means a property used for mining operations as defined in the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (Act No. 28 of 2002);

  • the Property means the Property more particularly described in Condition 2 of the Conditions of Sale (as defined in 1.6 below);

  • the Land means the land (including for the avoidance of doubt all buildings, structures landscaping and other erections) situated at and known as land and buildings at St Michael's Church of England High School, Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxxxxx XX0 0XX and registered under title numbers LAN81463 and LAN97788;

  • occupier in relation to a property, shall mean a person in actual occupation of the property, whether or not that person has a right to occupy the property.
