SEPARATION SPACE definition

SEPARATION SPACE. - means the horizontal open space provided around a dwelling to ensure no conflict of visibility from dwellings and adequate light, air and privacy, for activities undertaken within the dwelling. Unless otherwise specified in this Bylaw, a separation space may be partially or entirely outside the parcel boundaries of a dwelling unit;
SEPARATION SPACE means open space around Dwellings separating them from adjacent buildings or activities, and providing daylight, ventilation, and privacy. Separation Space is not a Yard;
SEPARATION SPACE means a horizontal open space provided around a dwelling, and may be entirely outside the boundary lines of the site on which the dwelling is located;

Examples of SEPARATION SPACE in a sentence

  • A Rear Setback is not a Rear Yard, Amenity Space or Separation Space.

  • Application of Separation Space - The minimum separation space in front of any window or opening should be applied along the full length and height of the exterior wall.

  • A Front Setback is not a Front Yard, Amenity Space or Separation Space.

  • On the left side, there is the power generation equipment and measurement equip- ment.

  • Termination of the Agreement shall be announced by Norges Bank over the Oslo Børs announcement system without undue delay.

  • Required Amenity Area may be located within a required Separation Space, but only if it is intended for the private use of the Dwelling for which the Separation Space is provided.

  • In the RPL Zone, the required Separation Space for any development may be provided in part by open space on an adjacent Site, provided that a required Separation Space shall in all cases be subject to the regulations for Separation Space as contained in Section 48 of this Bylaw and therefore shall, where Section 48 requires, be free of those buildings or structure, or portions of them which may otherwise be allowed in a Yard.

  • Other than in the RPL Zone, no portion of any required Yard, Amenity Area, Private Outdoor Amenity Area, Separation Space, or Setback shall be provided by an adjacent Site.

  • A required Yard, Separation Space, or Setback shall not be required below grade, except that the Development Officer may require that a Yard, or any portion of it, be unobstructed and undisturbed below grade in order to preserve existing vegetation, or to provide an adequate growing environment for any proposed or required Landscaping.

  • In front of a Principal Living Room Window, a Separation Space, with a minimum depth of 7.5 m or half the height of any wall opposite the said Window, whichever is greater, to a maximum of 10.0 m shall be provided.

  • Collocation Space means an area of space located in a Building to be used by CLEC to house telecommunications equipment. Additionally, roof or wall space used for wireless interconnection shall be included in the definition where applicable.

  • Common space means an area on which two or more information functions (e.g. symbol) may be displayed, but not simultaneously.

  • Exhibition Space means any space in the Exhibition Centre licensed to the Exhibitor by the Organisers for the purpose of the Exhibition under these Terms and Conditions and shall include shell (ready stand) spaces and nonshell (raw) spaces.

  • Expansion Space means any space in the Building which, at any time during the Lease Term, is occupied by a Person other than Landlord under a written lease with Landlord, and the term “Tenant’s Expansion Space” means Expansion Space which Tenant has elected to lease as provided in this paragraph. Landlord agrees to notify Tenant promptly after Landlord learns that any Expansion Space is or will become available. Subject to the prior rights of other tenants to whom Landlord has granted substantially similar rights, Tenant has the option to lease any Expansion Space which Landlord notifies Tenant is or will become available. If Tenant gives Landlord notice of its exercise of this option within thirty (30) days after notification from Landlord of the availability of the Expansion Space and if no Event of Default exists when Tenant’s notice is given, this Lease will be deemed to be amended to include Tenant’s Expansion Space as part of the Premises for the remainder of the Lease Term upon all of the same terms contained in this Lease except that (i) the Rentable Area of the Premises will be amended to include Tenant’s Expansion Space; (ii) Tenant’s Share will be increased to include the rentable area of Tenant’s Expansion Space; (iii) the Term Commencement Date with respect to Tenant’s Expansion Space will be the earlier of sixty (60) days after the date on which Tenant’s Expansion Space becomes vacant and ready for occupancy (provided that date is at least sixty (60) days after Tenant exercises its option to lease the Expansion Space), or the date on which the Expansion Space is first occupied by Tenant; (iv) if Tenant’s Expansion Space contains a rentable area of 10,000 square feet or more, and if there are less than three (3) Lease Years remaining in the Lease Term, the Lease Term will be extended to include three (3) full years from the Term Commencement Date with respect to Tenant’s Expansion Space; and (v) subject to adjustment during each Fixed Rental Period as provided in Exhibit E, Basic Rent for each year of the remaining Lease Term (as it may be extended) will be the greater of (a) the Basic Rent last paid by the Person most recently occupying Tenant’s Expansion Space or (b) Market Rent determined as provided in the Rent Rider attached as Exhibit E. If Tenant exercises this option, Tenant’s Expansion Space will be leased to Tenant in its “as is” condition and Tenant will, at its expense and in compliance with the provisions of Section 7.06, design and construct all Improvements desired by Tenant for its use and occupancy. Landlord and Tenant agree to execute such amendments to this Lease and other instruments as either of them considers necessary or desirable to reflect Tenant’s exercise of this option.

  • Subleased Premises means such portions of the Leased Premises being particularly identified on Schedule B, which the parties agree, for the purposes of this Sublease and any square footage calculations pursuant hereto, is approximately 42,244 square feet of office (21,068 square feet on the third floor and 21,176 square feet on the seventh floor) and approximately 9.4312% of common space (building rentable area is 447,917 square feet).

  • Storage Space means a space where goods of non-hazardous nature are stored and includes cold storage and banking safe vaults;

  • Grave space means a space of ground in a cemetery that is used or intended to be used for an in-ground burial.

  • Work space means that portion of the court’s facilities dedicated to each court reporter, including but not limited to actual space in the courtroom and any designated office space.

  • School premises means either of the following:

  • Leased space means individual storage space at a self-service storage facility which is rented to an occupant pursuant to a rental agreement.

  • Customer Premises means premises owned, controlled or occupied by the Customer which are made available for use by the Supplier or its Sub-Contractors for provision of the Services (or any of them);

  • Licensed premises or “premises” means all rooms, enclosures, contiguous areas, or places susceptible of precise description satisfactory to the administrator where alcoholic beverages, wine, or beer is sold or consumed under authority of a liquor control license, wine permit, or beer permit. A single licensed premises may consist of multiple rooms, enclosures, areas, or places if they are wholly within the confines of a single building or contiguous grounds.

  • Usable space means all the space on a pole, except the portion below ground level, the 20 feet of safety clearance space above ground level, and the safety clearance space between communications and power circuits. There is a rebuttable presumption that six feet of a pole are buried below ground level.

  • Office Space means the offices of the Service Provider located at 000 Xxxx Xxxxxx, Xxxxx 00, Xxx Xxxx, Xxx Xxxx 00000 (or any successor location or other existing office space of the Service Provider or any of its affiliates).

  • On-premises sign means a sign advertising activities conducted or maintained on the property on which it is located. The boundary of the property shall be as determined by tax rolls, deed registrations, and apparent land use delineations. If a sign consists principally of brand name or trade name advertising and the product or service advertised is only incidental to the principal activity conducted or maintained on the property, or if the sign brings rental income to the property owner or sign owner, it shall be considered the business of outdoor advertising and not an on-premises sign. On-premises sign does not include a sign on a narrow strip of land contiguous to the advertised activity, or a sign on an easement on adjacent property, when the purpose is clearly to circumvent the intent of this act.

  • public open space means the securing of an area of a site at grade or street level which is acceptable to the City and is appropriately landscaped for the use and enjoyment of the public during reasonable hours.

  • Leased Premises means the Leased Premises as defined in Paragraph 1.

  • Off-premises sign means a sign directing attention to a use, product, commodity or service not related to the premises upon which the sign is located.

  • Rentable Area of the Premises The amount of square footage set forth in Section 1.01(10).

  • Common Area means all areas and facilities within the Project that are not designated by Landlord for the exclusive use of Tenant or any other lessee or other occupant of the Project, including the parking areas, access and perimeter roads, pedestrian sidewalks, landscaped areas, trash enclosures, recreation areas and the like.

  • this Tenant Work Letter means the relevant portion of Sections 1 through 6 of this Tenant Work Letter.

  • Open space means undeveloped land, a naturally landscaped area, or a formal or man-made landscaped area that provides a connective link or a buffer between other resources.

  • Public space means any real property or structures thereon that are owned, leased, or controlled by a governmental entity.

  • Work area means a room or defined space in a workplace where hazardous chemicals are produced or used, and where employees are present.

  • Landlord’s Work means the work of constructing the Tenant Improvements.
