Water course means a natural channel or an artificial channel formed by training or diversion of a natural channel meant for carrying storm and waste water.
training course means a course of training or instruction provided wholly or partly by or on behalf of or in pursuance of arrangements made with, or approved by or on behalf of, Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, a government department or the Secretary of State.
Other Actions means any other actions or proceedings, excluding the Proceedings, relating to Released Claims commenced by a Settlement Class Member either before or after the Effective Date.
concerted practice means cooperative or coordinated conduct between firms, achieved through direct or indirect contact, which replaces their independent action, but which does not amount to an agreement;
the 1990 Act means the Town and Country Planning Act 1990;
the 1997 Regulations means the Zebra, Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossing Regulations 1997.
Approved course means a course that has been approved by the department for the training of lead professionals.
Agency Workers Regulations means the Agency Workers Regulations 2010;
Prohibited Practices means the prohibited practices set forth in paragraph 4 of the Policy on Prohibited Practices;
criminal proceedings means criminal proceedings in relation to which the strict rules of evidence apply;
Restricted use pesticide means any pesticide or device which, when used as directed or in accordance with a widespread and commonly recognized practice, the director determines, subsequent to a hearing, requires additional restrictions for that use to prevent unreasonable adverse effects on the environment including people, lands, beneficial insects, animals, crops, and wildlife, other than pests.
Courses means the area used for the purpose of a Competition including start and arrival areas (accredited access zones) and areas adjacent to the actual competition courses. It includes the reclaimable air-space above.
the 1997 Act means the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (c. 8);
