Single Sourcing definition

Single Sourcing means the procurement of Goods/Services from a particular Bidder/Proponent rather than through the solicitation of Bids from multiple Bidders/Proponents who can also provide the same/similar Goods/Services.
Single Sourcing means awarding a Procurement opportunity to a Vendor without competition for reasons specific to the situation (i.e. an Emergency), although competitive bids may be available;
Single Sourcing means a procurement decision whereby the purchasing of Goods and Services or Construction are directed towards a particular vendor without solicitation of bids from other vendors because of standardization, warranty, or other factors.
