Special Process definition

Special Process means a process that is specifically designated as such by Tesla, which may include, but is not limited to, causing a metallurgical change to the base material such as heat treating, forging or hardening processes; joining materials by welding, brazing, or other bonding process; or providing a coating or surface treatment such as cleaning, electro-polishing, plating, painting, or anodizing. Upon Tesla’s request, Supplier will use (and cause Sub-tier Suppliers to use) only one or more of the designated suppliers.
Special Process means a process that is specifically designated as such by Applied, which may include, but is not limited to, causing a metallurgical change to the base material such as heat treating, forging or hardening processes; joining materials by welding, brazing, or other bonding process; or providing a coating or surface treatment such as cleaning, electropolishing, plating, painting, or anodizing. As to any Item(s) which require a Special Process, Supplier must use (and cause Sub-tier Suppliers to use) one or more of the suppliers and otherwise follow the requirements identified in Attachment 18 entitled “Applied Materials Special Process Supplier Approval List” located on the Applied Web Site.
Special Process means the Contractor’s documented and demonstrated techniques to achieve the requirements of this Part.

Special Process means any process where the resulting output cannot be verified by subsequent monitoring or measurement.
