• What is covered:If the Policyholder (who should also be an Insured Person) dies or is diagnosed or undergoes treatment for the first time, with any of the Specified Illness as mentioned under Section 11.77 during the Policy Period, the cover under the Policy shall be automatically extended for a tenure of 1 Policy Year starting from the end of that Policy Period.

• This benefit can be availed only once by an Insured Person during a Policy Year for the same Specified Illness or planned Surgery.

• PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONAny Medical Practitioner authorized by Us shall be allowed to examine the Insured Person in case of any alleged Specified Illness.

• What is covered:If an Insured Person suffers a Specified Illness as defined under Section11.77 during the Policy Period, We will indemnify the Reasonable and Customary Charges for Medical Expenses of the Insured Person incurred towards treatment of that Specified Illness that would otherwise have been payable under Section 3.1 (Inpatient Care), on Cashless Facility basis only.

• What is covered:If the Insured Person is diagnosed with a Specified Illness as defined under Section 11.77 or is planning to undergo a planned Surgery or a Surgical Procedure for any Illness or Injury, the Insured Person can, at the Insured Person’s choice, obtain a Second Medical Opinion during the Policy Period.

This diagnosis must be supported by histological evidence of malignancy. The term cancer includes leukemia, lymphoma and sarcoma. Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack): The death of a portion of the heart muscle as a result of inadequate blood supply to the relevant area. c. Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG): The actual undergoing of open / keyhole chest Surgery for the correction of one or more coronary arteries, which is/are narrowed or blocked. The diagnosis must be supported by relevant Diagnostic Tests and confirmed by a cardiologist.

A history of typical clinical symptoms consistent with the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (For e.g. typical chest pain) ii. New characteristic electrocardiogram changes iii.Elevation of infarction specific enzymes, Troponins or other specific biochemical markers. II. The following are excluded: i. Other acute Coronary Syndromes ii. Any type of angina pectoris iii. A rise in cardiac biomarkers or Troponin T or I in absence of overt ischemic heart disease OR following an intra-arterial cardiac procedure. c. Open Chest CABG: I. The actual undergoing of heart surgery to correct blockage or narrowing in one or more coronary artery(s), by coronary artery bypass grafting done via a sternotomy (cutting through the breast bone) or minimally invasive keyhole coronary artery bypass procedures. The diagnosis must be supported by a coronary angiography and the realization of surgery has to be confirmed by a cardiologist. II. The following are excluded: i.
