Street Vending definition

Street Vending or “Vending” means selling, offering or displaying for sale, or soliciting another to pur- chase, for present or future delivery, any goods, wares, merchandise, sub- scriptions, services, pre-packaged frozen desserts, or any combination thereof from, in, upon, along, or through the highways, streets, or sidewalks, door-to-door on residential property, or in the open air or from a temporary shelter or vending device upon private property.
Street Vending means engaging in the business of peddling, vending, selling, or displaying for sale any merchandise or food that occurs while the person travels by foot or any type of conveyance from house to house or place to place, or when such merchandise or food is presented from a vehicle, cart or stand outside the Central Business District.
Street Vending means the setting up or use within the road reserve of any box, stall, stand, barrow or stationary vehicle, other than a "roadside stall" or "mobile vending vehicle" defined hereunder, for the purpose of offering for sale any goods, or for the pursuit of any business, calling, or employment.

More Definitions of Street Vending

Street Vending means the displaying, offering or solicitation for sale or the actual sale of goods, food, wares, merchandise, artwork or similar items on a public street or sidewalk with the receipt or expectation of consideration. Street vending does not mean the displaying, offering or solicitation for sale or the actual sale of crab, fish, agricultural products and firewood on and east of Lansing Street, and such activities as the distribution or offering, with or without the receipt of consideration, of printed written or similar material of information.
Street Vending means the sale, or offer for sale, of goods, wares, merchandise, food, confectionery, drink, or other commodities, on the City of Hamilton’s streets, highways, sidewalks, or other outdoor City-owned property, from temporary displays, portable stands or tables, manually propelled vehicles, or from motor or animal-drawn vehicles.
