Substitute Unit definition

Substitute Unit means a generating unit or combination of units, other than the Unit identified in the Dispatch Notice (whether or not located at the Facility, whether or not designated as a Reliability Must-Run Unit and whether or not owned by Owner), which, under the circumstances existing at the time, is capable of providing system reliability benefits equivalent to the system reliability benefits provided by the Unit identified in the Dispatch Notice. In the case of Units providing Ancillary Services, a Substitute Unit must (i) be certified to provide the requested type of Ancillary Service, (ii) provide the same or higher ramp rate and MW of capacity and, (iii) is located in the same Local Capacity Area as the Unit identified in the Dispatch Notice.

  • Reorganization/Redesign of the Substitute Unit: The UTLA Article XXX Substitute Committee shall be permitted to give input to the District prior to any reorganization or redesign of the Substitute Assignment Unit or to the automated calling system.

  • Whenever representatives of the Per Diem Substitute Unit are mutually scheduled by both parties to participate during working hours in conferences, meetings, or negotiations they shall suffer no loss of pay if they have been assigned to work on that day.

More Definitions of Substitute Unit

Related to Substitute Unit

  • Replacement unit means a landfill, surface impoundment, or waste pile unit (1) from which all or substantially all of the waste is removed, and (2) that is subsequently reused to treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste. “Replacement unit” does not apply to a unit from which waste is removed during closure, if the subsequent reuse solely involves the disposal of waste from that unit and other closing units or corrective action areas at the facility, in accordance with an approved closure plan or EPA or State approved corrective action.

  • Substitute Award means an Award granted under the Plan upon the assumption of, or in substitution for, outstanding equity awards previously granted by a company or other entity in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, combination, consolidation or acquisition of property or stock; provided, however, that in no event shall the term “Substitute Award” be construed to refer to an award made in connection with the cancellation and repricing of an Option or Stock Appreciation Right.

  • Freestanding SAR means an SAR that is granted independently of any Options, as described in Article 7 herein.

  • Replacement Award means an Award granted in assumption of, or in substitution for, an outstanding award previously granted by a company or business acquired by the Company or with which the Company, directly or indirectly, combines.

  • Private Units means the Units certain of the Investors are privately purchasing simultaneously with the consummation of the Company’s initial public offering.

  • Appreciation Right means a right granted pursuant to Section 5 of this Plan, and shall include both Tandem Appreciation Rights and Free-Standing Appreciation Rights.

  • Tandem Appreciation Right means an Appreciation Right granted pursuant to Section 5 of this Plan that is granted in tandem with an Option Right.
