If participating in the SFSP, SFA will comply with all requirements of 7 CFR 225 – Summer Food Service Program.
Conflict in meals service calendars; meals must be offered each school day, when SFA is in session a full day, in accordance with the established meal patterns and requirements as defined in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) and 7 CFR 225 for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
School Nutrition Program free reimbursement shall be paid to Sponsors for up to 2 summer meals (breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, pm snack, supper) daily served to students at open school sites qualified by Summer Food Service Program site qualifications.
RECIPIENT AGENCY (RA): Any of the following organizations within a State eligible to receive USDA Foods: schools (public and private), residential child care institutions, charitable institutions, nutrition programs for the elderly, summer camps, Summer Food Service Program participants, and soup kitchens.
Upon request, all accounts and records pertaining to its Summer Food Service Program will be made available to the State Agency or its designee(s), to USDA Food and Nutrition Services, and to the Office of Inspector General for audit or review at a reasonable time and place.
