Tampering with Public Records definition

Tampering with Public Records means a person knowingly without valid authorization removes, mutilates, destroys, conceals, makes a false entry in or falsely alters any original record or other written material filed with, deposited in or otherwise constituting a record of a public office or public servant.

Examples of Tampering with Public Records in a sentence

  • Whosoever shall violate this Section shall be guilty of an offense under §4911, ?Tampering with Public Records or Information,” of the Crimes Code, 18 Pa.C.S.A. §4911, and shall be prosecuted under that Section of the law.

  • Tampering with Public Records shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00); or by a term of imprisonment in the Tribal jail not to exceed one (1) year; or by banishment for not less than five (5) years nor more than ten (10) years; or both combination of the above authorized punishments.

  • On October 30, 2018, she was sentenced pursuant to that plea to a minimum of twelve (12) months and maximum of twenty-four (24) months for Medicaid Fraud charge and nine (9) to eighteen (18) months for Tampering with Public Records, both charges to run consecutive to one another for an aggregate sentence of twenty-one (21) to forty-two (42) months.

Related to Tampering with Public Records

  • Public record or "public records" shall mean all documents, papers, letters, maps, books, photographs, films, sound recordings, magnetic or other tapes, electronic data-processing records, artifacts, or other documentary material, regardless of physical form or characteristics, made or received pursuant to law or ordinance in connection with the transaction of public business by any agency of North Carolina government or its subdivisions. Agency of North Carolina government or its subdivisions shall mean and include every public office, public officer or official (State or local, elected or appointed), institution, board, commission, bureau, council, department, authority or other unit of government of the State or of any county, unit, special district or other political subdivision of government.

  • Environmental Information Regulations means the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 and any guidance and/or codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner or relevant government department in relation to such regulations.

  • Disclosure Statement means the written disclosure statement that relates to this Plan, as approved by the Bankruptcy Court pursuant to section 1125 of the Bankruptcy Code and Bankruptcy Rule 3017, as such disclosure statement may be amended, modified or supplemented from time to time.
