Tier 3 Wire Center definition

Tier 3 Wire Center. Those CenturyLink Wire Centers that are not Tier 1 or Tier 2 Wire Centers.
Tier 3 Wire Center means a Verizon wire center that Verizon has not designated as a Tier 1 or Tier 2 wire center (such tiers being defined in 47 C.F.R. 51.319(d)(i) and (ii)) in a wire center list that Verizon makes available (or has made available) by notice or by publication on Verizon's wholesale website. Examples of Tier 3 Wire Center in a sentence

  • Once a Wire Center is determined to be a Tier 2 Wire Center, that Wire Center is not subject to later reclassification as a Tier 3 Wire Center.

  • Thus, for example: (a) if one end of a route were a Tier 1 or 2 Wire Center, and the other end of the route were a Tier 3 Wire Center with competitive fiber located within one-half mile, then UNE DS3 Transport would not be available on such route, (b) if both ends of a route were Tier 3 Wire Centers, but competitive fiber is present within one-half mile of both of those Tier 3 Wire Centers, then UNE DS3 Transport would not be available as a UNE on such route.

"Numbering Plan Area" or "NPA" is also sometimes referred to as an area code. It is a unique three-digit indicator that is defined by the "X," "X" and "C" digits of each 10-digit telephone number within the NANP. Each NPA contains 800 possible NXX Codes. There are two (2) general categories of NPA. "Geographic NPA" is associated with a defined geographic area and all telephone numbers bearing such NPA are associated with services provided within that geographic area. A "Non-Geographic NPA," also known as a "Service Access Code" (SAC Code), is typically associated with a specialized Telecommunications Service which may be provided across multiple geographic NPA areas; 500, Toll Free Service NPAs, 700, and 900 are examples of Non-Geographic NPAs. "NXX," "NXX Code," "Central Office Code," or "CO Code" is the three- (3)-digit Switch entity code which is defined by the "D," "E" and "F" digits of a ten- (10) digit telephone number within the NANP. "Operational Support Systems" or "OSS" shall have the meaning set forth in Section 12. "Optional Testing" is testing conducted by CenturyLink, at the request of CLEC, that is in lieu of testing CLEC should complete to isolate trouble to the CenturyLink network prior to submitting a trouble ticket to CenturyLink.

  • Rape Crisis Center means an office, institution, or center offering assistance to victims of sexual offenses through crisis intervention, medical and legal information, and follow-up counseling.

  • Child day care center and "center" means any place in which child day care is provided for thirteen or more children at one time or any place that is not the permanent residence of the licensee or administrator in which child day care is provided for seven to twelve children at one time.
