Total Credited Service definition

Total Credited Service means (a) the combination of a City-to-County Transfer Employee's City Transfer Service and Credited Service earned while a Participant in this Plan (and in Plan A and/or Plan B, if such Participant was a participant in either or both such plans who ultimately transferred to this Plan) and (b) the combination of an County-to-City Transfer Employee's County Transfer Service and years of service earned while a Participant in the City Plan.
Total Credited Service means (a) the combination of a City-to-County Transfer Employee's City Transfer Service and Credited Service earned while a Participant in this Plan and(b) the combination of a County-to-City Transfer Employee's County Transfer Service and years of service earned while a Participant in the City Plan.
Total Credited Service means the sum of the Participant’s Past Service Credits and Future Service Credits which have not been forfeited.

Examples of Total Credited Service in a sentence

  • The Participant must have years (insert number) of Total Credited Service.

  • A Participant is eligible for an alternative normal retirement benefit if he has at least years (insert number) of Total Credited Service, regardless of the Participant's age.

  • The Participant must have at least years (insert number) of Total Credited Service (not including leave otherwise creditable under this Section).

  • To qualify for a disability benefit, a Participant must have the following minimum number of years of Total Credited Service (check one): Not applicable (the Adopting Employer does not offer disability retirement benefits under the Plan).

  • If a Survivor Pension is payable under 6.1.2.2 to the surviving Spouse of a City-to- County Transfer Employee, it shall be calculated with respect to his Total Credited Service and then reduced by a Survivor Pension that would have been payable based solely on the Participant’s City Transfer Service (using interpolation if his City Transfer Service was fewer than 15 years).

  • Benefits shall be 100% vested after the Participant has a minimum of 5 years (insert number not to exceed 10) of Total Credited Service.


More Definitions of Total Credited Service

Total Credited Service means (a) the combination of a City-to-County Transfer Employee's City Transfer Service and Credited Service earned while a Participant in Plan A (and in Plan B, if such Participant transferred to Plan A from Plan B with a Prior Service Certificate, and in Plan C, if such Participant re-transferred from Plan C to Plan A without incurring an Interruption of Service) and (b) the combination of a County-to-City Transfer Employee's County Transfer Service and years of service earned while a Participant in the City Plan.17
Total Credited Service means the sum of (a), (b), and (c) below, where (a) is the Executive's actual years and months of service with Yellow and SCST, from June 1, 1994 through the date of termination; (b) is 16 years; and (c) is 1/3 of [the sum of (a) and (b), minus 1/2 of the sum of the Executive's projected credited service to age 65 and (b)].
Total Credited Service means (a) the combination of an Involuntary Transfer City-to-County Employee's CityTransfer Service and Credited Service earned while a Participant in Plan A (and Plan B, if such Participant was a Member of Plan B who transferred to Plan A) and (b) the combination of an Involuntary Transfer County-to-City Employee's County Transfer Service and years of service earned while a Participant in the City Plan.

  • Credited Service means the member's total period of service

  • Years of Service means the total number of full years in which a Participant has been employed by one or more Employers. For purposes of this definition, a year of employment shall be a 365 day period (or 366 day period in the case of a leap year) that, for the first year of employment, commences on the Employee's date of hiring and that, for any subsequent year, commences on an anniversary of that hiring date. Any partial year of employment shall not be counted.

  • Vesting Service of an employee means the period or periods of service credited to him under the provisions of Article II for purposes of determining his vested interest in his Employer Contributions Sub-Account, if Employer Contributions are provided for under either Article VI or Article XXII.

  • Period of Service means the aggregate of all periods of service commencing with an Employee's first day of employment or reemployment with the Employer or an Affiliated Employer and ending on the first day of a Period of Severance, or for benefit accrual purposes, ending on the severance from service date. The first day of employment or reemployment is the first day the Employee performs an Hour of Service. An Employee who incurs a Period of Severance of twelve (12) months or less will also receive service-spanning credit by treating any such period as a Period of Service for purposes of eligibility and vesting (but not benefit accrual). For purposes of benefit accrual, a Participant's whole year Periods of Service is equal to the sum of all full and partial periods of service, whether or not such service is continuous or contiguous, expressed in the number of whole years represented by such sum. For this purpose, fractional periods of a year will be expressed in terms of days.

  • Hours of Service means hours to be credited to an Employee under the following rules:

  • total earnings means all of the dentist's gross earnings from the practice of dentistry by him in person, and "NHS earnings" means the dentist's gross earnings from the provision by him in person of general dental services under the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended, including where the dentist's name is included in sub-part A of the first part, or Part A prior to 2 July 2010, of two or more dental lists in Scotland, but neither his total earnings nor his NHS earnings shall be taken to include any remuneration by way of salary;

  • Minimum Period of Service means a period of 12 consecutive months beginning on the Service Start Date, unless set out otherwise in any applicable Order.

  • Year of Service means the computation period of twelve (12) consecutive months, herein set forth, during which an Employee has at least 1000 Hours of Service.

  • Actual Deferral Percentage means, for a specified group of Participants for a Plan Year, the average of the ratios (calculated separately for each Participant in the group) of (1) the amount of Employer contributions actually paid over to the Trust on behalf of the Participant for the Plan Year to (2) the Participant's Earnings for the Plan Year (or, provided that the Employer applies this method to all Employees for a Plan Year, the Participant's Earnings for that portion of the Plan Year during which he was eligible to participate in the Plan). Employer contributions on behalf of any Participant shall include: (i) his Elective Deferrals, including Excess Elective Deferrals of Highly Compensated Employees, but excluding (A) Excess Elective Deferrals of Non-Highly Compensated Employees that arise solely from Elective Deferrals made under the Plan or another plan maintained by an Affiliated Employer, and (B) Elective Deferrals that are taken into account in the Average Contribution Percentage test described in Section 5.10 (provided the ADP test is satisfied both with and without exclusion of these Elective Deferrals), and excluding Elective Deferrals returned to a Participant to reduce an Excess Amount as defined in Section 6.5(f); and (ii) if the Employer has elected to make Qualified Nonelective Contributions, such amount of Qualified Nonelective Contributions, if any, as shall be necessary to enable the Plan to satisfy the ADP test and not used to satisfy the ACP test; and (iii) if the Employer has elected to make Qualified Matching Contributions, such amount of Qualified Matching Contributions, if any, as shall be necessary to enable the Plan to satisfy the ADP test and not used to satisfy the ACP test. For purposes of computing Actual Deferral Percentages, an Employee who would be a Participant but for his failure to make Elective Deferrals shall be treated as a Participant on whose behalf no Elective Deferrals are made.

  • Average Contribution Percentage means the average of the Contribution Percentages of the Eligible Participants in a group.

  • Average Actual Deferral Percentage means the average (expressed as a percentage) of the Actual Deferral Percentages of the Eligible Participants in a group.

  • Average final compensation means the average annual creditable compensation of a member during

  • Eligible Earnings means the Grantee's base salary (prior to any deferrals under a cash or deferred compensation plan sponsored by the Corporation or an Affiliate) paid during the Plan Year. From time to time the Plan Administrator may, in its sole discretion, establish rules for determining the amounts of Eligible Earnings for employees who become Grantees other than on the first day of a Plan Year as well as any reduction of Eligible Earnings as a result of paid leave of absences.

  • Month of Service means a calendar month in which an employee is in receipt of full salary or wages in respect of the prescribed number of working hours in each working day in the month and includes a calendar month in which an employee is absent on special leave without pay not in excess of twenty (20) working days.

  • Target Balance has the meaning set forth in Section 6.1I(1) hereof.

  • Total Compensation means the cash and noncash dollar value earned by the executive during the Subcontractor’s preceding fiscal year and includes the following (for more information see 17 CFR 229.402(c)(2)):

  • Accrued Benefit means the amount standing in a Participant's Account(s) as of any date derived from both Employer contributions and Employee contributions, if any.

  • Maximum Benefit Amount means the maximum amount payable for coverage provided to You as shown in the Schedule of Benefits.

  • Average Monthly Compensation means the quotient determined by dividing the sum of the Employee’s then current Base Salary (as defined in Section 4.1 hereof) and the greater of the most recently paid Incentive Compensation (as defined in Section 4.2 hereof) or the average of Incentive Compensation paid over the three most recent years by twelve.

  • Debit Balance means, as of any date, the dollar amount, if any, representing the accrued aggregate Annual Charge not deducted from the Liquid Balance.

  • Base Earnings means base salary and wages payable by the Company or a Participating Subsidiary to an Eligible Employee, prior to pre-tax deductions for contributions to qualified or non-qualified (under the Code) benefit plans or arrangements, and excluding bonuses, incentives and overtime pay but including commissions.

  • Final Average Pay means the participant’s average monthly compensation in the highest three calendar years of compensation out of five consecutive calendar years of employment during a period of eligibility service by the Company or an Affiliate. Years separated by a period of one or more calendar years when the participant has no such eligible employment shall be treated as consecutive. Additional compensation paid at retirement or other Separation from Service, such as for periods of unused vacation or sick leave, shall be attributed to calendar years by assuming that employment continued during the period based on which the compensation is measured. Severance pay shall be disregarded, except severance pay in lieu of service.

  • Final Average Compensation means the aggregate amount of a member's compensation earned within the averaging period in which the aggregate amount of compensation was highest divided by the member's number of years, including any fraction of a year, of credited service during the averaging period. The averaging period shall be 36 consecutive calendar months if the member contributes to the member investment plan except for a member who contributes to the member investment plan and first became a member on or after July 1, 2010; otherwise, the averaging period shall be 60 consecutive calendar months. A member who contributes to the member investment plan and first became a member on or after July 1, 2010 shall also have an averaging period of 60 consecutive calendar months. If the member has less than 1 year of credited service in the averaging period, the number of consecutive calendar months in the averaging period shall be increased to the lowest number of consecutive calendar months that contains 1 year of credited service.

  • Account Balance means, with respect to a Participant, an entry on the records of the Employer equal to the sum of (i) the Deferral Account balance, (ii) the Company Contribution Account balance, and (iii) the Company Restoration Matching Account balance. The Account Balance shall be a bookkeeping entry only and shall be utilized solely as a device for the measurement and determination of the amounts to be paid to a Participant, or his or her designated Beneficiary, pursuant to this Plan.

  • Annual Earnings means your gross annual income from your Employer, not including shift differential, in effect just prior to the date of loss. It includes your total income before taxes. It is prior to any deductions made for pre-tax contributions to a qualified deferred compensation plan, Section 125 plan or flexible spending account. It does not include income received from commissions, bonuses, overtime pay or any other extra compensation or income received from sources other than your Employer.

  • Excess Compensation means Compensation in excess of the following Integration Level: (Choose (1) or (2))
