Transit Officer definition

Transit Officer means an Employee qualified and trained to assist and maintain the safety and security of the Employer’s passengers and property, undertake safe working duties as required/directed in accordance with the network rules, instructions and procedures and designated as an authorised officer and as a security officer under section 56 of the Public Transport Authority Act 2003, or the most equivalent statutory provision.
