Transmission Upgrades definition

Transmission Upgrades means any additions and/or reinforcements to an electric transmission system that are required as the result of the interconnection of the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner's electric system and/or to permit delivery of the Product to Buyer’s Load, as defined in the CAISO Tariff, safely and reliably, in the quantities and at the times at which delivery of such Product may be required under this Agreement, up to and including quantities that can be produced utilizing all of the Contract Capacity of the Project.
Transmission Upgrades means improvements to the transmission system that services the generating resource(s) included in any specific proposal within the RFP process.
Transmission Upgrades means any and all additions, modifications or upgrades to EKPC’s Transmission System to accommodate the interconnection of the Small Generating Facility with the Member’s Distribution System or to allow wheeling of power across EKPC’s transmission system.

Examples of Transmission Upgrades in a sentence

  • If the Transmission Owner notifies the ISO of its rejection to be the Designated Entity for one or more Public Policy Transmission Upgrades identified for its Designated Public Policy Project, the Developer that proposed the Public Policy Transmission Project shall be the Designated Entity for such Public Policy Transmission Upgrades, which shall be incorporated into the Developer’s Designated Public Policy Project.

  • For purposes of this preliminary designation, the Developer that proposed the regulated Public Policy Transmission Project will be identified by the ISO as the Designated Entity for those facilities of its Public Policy Transmission Project that do not meet the definition of Public Policy Transmission Upgrades, which facilities shall constitute a Designated Public Policy Project.

  • For Qualified Transmission Upgrades, the credit requirements shall be based on the Locational Deliverability Area in which such upgrade was to increase the Capacity Emergency Transfer Limit.

More Definitions of Transmission Upgrades

Transmission Upgrades means any and all additions, modifications or upgrades to EKPC's Transmission System to accommodate the interconnection of the Small Generating Facility with the Member's Distribution System or to allow wheeling of power across EKPC's transmission system.
Transmission Upgrades means any additions and/or reinforcements to an electric transmission system, including Interconnection Facilities, Grid Support Facilities and Network Upgrades, that are required as the result of the interconnection of the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric system and/or to permit delivery of the Product to Buyer’s Load, as defined in the CAISO Tariff, and the receipt of such Product by Buyer, safely and reliably, in the quantities and at the times at which delivery and receipt of such Product may be required under this Agreement, utilizing all of the Contract Capacity of the Project.

Related to Transmission Upgrades

  • Transmission links are the means used for inter-connecting distributed units for the purpose of conveying signals, operating data or an energy supply. This equipment is generally electrical but may, in some part, be mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic.

  • Transmission Facility means a facility for transmitting electricity, and includes any structures, equipment or other facilities used for that purpose as defined in the Parties respective XXXXx.

  • Transmission Loading Relief means NERC’s procedures for preventing operating security limit violations, as implemented by PJM as the security coordinator responsible for maintaining transmission security for the PJM Region.

  • Transmission line means any single or multiphase electric power line operating at nominal voltages at or in excess of either 69,000 volts between ungrounded conductors or 40,000 volts between grounded and ungrounded conductors, regardless of the functional service provided by the line.

  • Transmission pipeline means any high pressure transmission pipeline connected to, but excluding the Maui Pipeline, that is used for the open access transportation of Gas, and includes all items of plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings directly appurtenanced to that pipeline, but excluding any item which is controlled by a party other than that pipeline’s TP Welded Party and any low pressure distribution system.

  • Transmission Provider means any entity or entities transmitting or transporting the Product on behalf of Seller or Buyer to or from the Delivery Point.

  • Transmission Interconnection Customer means an entity that submits an Interconnection Request to interconnect or add Merchant Transmission Facilities to the Transmission System or to increase the capacity of Merchant Transmission Facilities interconnected with the Transmission System in the PJM Region or an entity that submits an Upgrade Request for Merchant Network Upgrades (including accelerating the construction of any transmission enhancement or expansion, other than Merchant Transmission Facilities, that is included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan prepared pursuant to Operating Agreement, Schedule 6).

  • Qualifying Transmission Upgrade means a proposed enhancement or addition to the Transmission System that: (a) will increase the Capacity Emergency Transfer Limit into an LDA by a megawatt quantity certified by the Office of the Interconnection; (b) the Office of the Interconnection has determined will be in service on or before the commencement of the first Delivery Year for which such upgrade is the subject of a Sell Offer in the Base Residual Auction; (c) is the subject of a Facilities Study Agreement executed before the conduct of the Base Residual Auction for such Delivery Year and (d) a New Service Customer is obligated to fund through a rate or charge specific to such facility or upgrade.

  • Merchant Transmission Facilities means A.C. or D.C. transmission facilities that are interconnected with or added to the Transmission System pursuant to Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI and that are so identified in Tariff, Attachment T, provided, however, that Merchant Transmission Facilities shall not include (i) any Customer Interconnection Facilities, (ii) any physical facilities of the Transmission System that were in existence on or before March 20, 2003 ; (iii) any expansions or enhancements of the Transmission System that are not identified as Merchant Transmission Facilities in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan and Tariff, Attachment T, or (iv) any transmission facilities that are included in the rate base of a public utility and on which a regulated return is earned.

  • Transmission Operator means the entity responsible for the reliability of its “local” Transmission System, and that operates or directs the operations of the Transmission Facilities.

  • Transmission Customer means any eligible customer, shipper or designated agent that can or does execute a transmission service agreement or can or does receive transmission service, including all persons who have pending requests for transmission service or for information regarding transmission.

  • Transmission Injection Rights means Capacity Transmission Injection Rights and Energy Transmission Injection Rights.

  • Transmission System means the facilities controlled or operated by the Transmission Provider within the PJM Region that are used to provide transmission service under Tariff, Part II and Part III.

  • Transmission equipment means equipment that facilitates transmission for any FCC-licensed or authorized wireless communication service, including, but not limited to, radio transceivers, antennas, coaxial or fiber-optic cable, and regular and backup power supply. The term includes equipment associated with wireless communications services including, but not limited to, private, broadcast, and public safety services, as well as unlicensed wireless services and fixed wireless services such as microwave backhaul.

  • Network Transmission Service means transmission service provided pursuant to the rates, terms and conditions set forth in Tariff, Part III, or transmission service comparable to such service that is provided to a Load Serving Entity that is also a Transmission Owner.

  • Transmission Services the services provided by the Transmission Provider(s) to the Distributor;

  • transmission means transmission by operation of law, devolution on the personal representative of a deceased person and any other mode of transfer, not being assignment;

  • Interregional Transmission Project means transmission facilities that would be located within two or more neighboring transmission planning regions and are determined by each of those regions to be a more efficient or cost effective solution to regional transmission needs.

  • Local Loop Transmission “Unbundled Local Loop”, “Loop” means the transmission path which extends from the Network Interface Device or demarcation point at an End User’s premise to the Main Distribution Frame or other designated frame or panel in the SBC-AMERITECH Serving Wire Center.

  • Transmission Reliability Margin or “TRM” shall mean the amount of transmission transfer capability necessary to provide reasonable assurance that the interconnected transmission network will be secure. TRM accounts for the inherent uncertainty in system conditions and the need for operating flexibility to ensure reliable system operation as system conditions change.
