Type I test definition

Type I test means a test as described in section 5.3 of Annex I to Council Directive 70/220/EEC (test for simulating/verifying the average tailpipe emissions after a cold start) and carried out using the procedure described in Annex III of that Directive;
Type I test means the applicable driving cycle used for emission approvals;
Type I test means the driving cycle (Parts One and Two) used for emission approvals, as detailed in Annex III, Appendix 1.

Examples of Type I test in a sentence

  • This annex describes the procedure for the Type I test defined in paragraph 5.3.1. of this Regulation.

  • This approval indicates that the approval was given in accordance with the requirements of Regulation No. 83 with the 05 series of amendments incorporated and satisfying the limits for the Type I test detailed in Row B of the table in paragraph 5.3.1.4. of this Regulation.

  • In this case, the carbon dioxide emission and fuel consumption measured during the regular Type I test may be used.


More Definitions of Type I test

Type I test means the driving cycle (Parts One and Two) used for emission approvals, as detailed in Tables A4a/1 and A4a/2 of Annex 4a.
