Vendor of Record selection process definition

Vendor of Record selection process means the preferred process for selecting Vendor(s) of Record, where first an opportunity is communicated to approved or sourced vendors, or may be publicly advertised (Request For Expression of Interest). If required, a short listing may occur (Request for Pre- Qualification) and through the RFT or RFP process the award is made. RFEIs and RFPQs are optional processes. A second method of becoming a Vendor of Record would be as a result of being awarded one particular contract via a competitive process, and performing successfully, whereupon the Approved Vendor may be approached to enter into a Vendor of Record Agreement as approved by the Procurement Manager.
