Vulnerable Student definition

Vulnerable Student means a student who has been identified as finding learning more challenging based on the following factors: not meeting learning outcomes, significant absence from school, not transitioning to the next grade, failing courses, behaviour issues, under suspension, not at grade level and/or is a child in care.

Examples of Vulnerable Student in a sentence

  • Examples may include suspension, expulsion, relationship problems, significant loss, interpersonal conflict, or being identified as a student of a vulnerable population (see Section VI – Considerations for Supporting Vulnerable Student Populations).

  • In determining the amount of a Vulnerable Student Bursary, the school will take into account the number of hours per week involved in the study programme.

  • The Board will ensure that School(s) work with Parents and the First Nation to identify Vulnerable Students and, where identification of a First Nation Student as a Vulnerable Student is supported by evidence and demonstrated need, that an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) will be created with parental consent and involvement, and regularly reviewed, for that First Nation Student.

  • Learners aged 19 or over are not eligible for the Vulnerable Student Bursary.

  • The maximum payable to those receiving a Vulnerable Student Bursary is payable if their study programme lasts for 30 weeks or more and they need that level of support.

  • The Vulnerable Student Bursary amount will be £1200 The Discretionary Bursary (Tier 1) amount is up to £300 subject to availability of funds.

Related to Vulnerable Student

  • Vulnerable adult means any person 18 years of age or older who: (1) is a resident or inpatient of a facility; (2) receives services required to be licensed under Minn. Stat. Ch. 245A, except as excluded under Minn. Stat. § 626.5572, Subd. 21(a)(2); (3) receives services from a licensed home care provider or person or organization that offers, provides, or arranges for personal care assistance services under the medical assistance program; or (4) regardless of residence or type of service received possesses a physical or mental infirmity or other physical, mental, or emotional dysfunction that impairs the individual’s ability to adequately provide the person’s own care without assistance or supervision and, because of the dysfunction or infirmity and need for care or services, has an impaired ability to protect the individual’s self from maltreatment.

  • Vulnerable means a condition in which an adult is unable to protect himself or herself from abuse, neglect, or exploitation because of a mental or physical impairment or because of advanced age.

  • Vulnerable Person means any person who by reason of age, infirmity, illness, disability or any other circumstance is in need of care or attention, and includes any person under the age of eighteen; and

  • Vulnerability means a weakness of an asset or mitigation that can be exploited by one or more threats.

  • Patient Data means any electronic data, information or material about a Patient entered into the Software.

  • Research Data means documents in a digital form, other than scientific publications, which are collected or produced in the course of scientific research activities and are used as evidence in the research process, or are commonly accepted in the research community as necessary to validate research findings and results;

  • Screening Test Technician (STT) means anyone who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and operates an ASD.

  • Research Results means any technical result acquired based on the Collaborative Research, including, but not limited to, any invention, idea, design, copyrightable work and know-how which relates to the purpose of the Collaborative Research.

  • Project Data means all proprietary data of the Project generated out of the Project operations and transactions, documents and related information including but not restricted to user data which the Bidder obtains, possesses or processes in the context of providing the Services to the users pursuant to this RFP including the SLA;

  • Covered contractor information system means an information system that is owned or operated by a contractor that processes, stores, or transmits Federal contract information.

  • Development Data means all non-clinical, clinical, technical, chemical, safety, and scientific data and information and other results, including relevant laboratory notebook information, screening data, and synthesis schemes, including descriptions in any form, data and other information, in each case, that is generated by or resulting from or in connection with the conduct of Development of Products.

  • Licensed physician means a person licensed to practice

  • Licensed site remediation professional means an individual

  • Study means the investigation to be conducted in accordance with the Protocol.

  • Clinician means a physician licensed under chapter 37 of title 5; a nurse licensed

  • Programme Party means a party to a Programme Document (other than the Issuer and ETP Securityholders).

  • Client Data means all data or records of whatever nature in whatever form relating to the Client, its operations, facilities, assets, employees, students or otherwise relating to its business, whether subsisting at the date of this Agreement, or created or processed in connection with the Services or as provided by the Client to the Supplier in connection with the Services. Client Data shall include all Client Personal Data

  • Emergency medical technician means a person who is either an EMT-I, EMT-II, or EMT-P (paramedic), and possesses a valid certificate or license in accordance with the standards of Division 2.5 (commencing with Section 1797) of the Health and Safety Code.

  • Graduate Student means a student who is in attendance at an institution of higher education and is enrolled in an academic program of instruction above the baccalaureate level. The term includes any portion of a program leading to either a degree beyond the baccalaureate, or a first professional degree when at least three years of study at the pre-baccalaureate degree level are required for entrance into a program leading to such a degree. Students admitted as special/provisional graduate students may be considered as eligible students for one term only if it is anticipated they will enroll in a regular graduate program in the following term.

  • Study Data shall have the meaning set forth in Section 8.1.

  • Researcher means an individual who:

  • Study Site means the location(s) under the control of the Institution where the Study is actually conducted as set out in Schedule 1.

  • Sites means the area(s) upon or in which the construction work is carried on, and such other areas adjacent thereto as may be designated by the Commissioner.

  • Contractor Software means software which is proprietary to the Contractor, including software which is or will be used by the Contractor for the purposes of providing the Services.

  • Directory Assistance Database shall have the meaning set forth in Section 10.5.2.2. "Directory Assistance Lists" shall have the meaning set forth in Section 10.6.1.1.
