Winter Break definition

Winter Break means December 16, 2016 to 12:00 noon on January 8, 2017.
Winter Break means December 17, 2022 through 9 a.m. on January 14, 2023.
Winter Break means the period between the end of the Fall Semester and the beginning of the Spring Semester detailed in Table 2 of Schedule “A”.

  • To ensure the safety and security of the Resident and the Residence facilities it is the intention of the Manager to limit the number of Residents staying during the Winter Break to a small number of individuals that demonstrate a significant need for Residence accommodations.

  • Employees who work at least 240 days will be paid for twelve (12) holidays per year (4th of July, Labor Day, 2 Thanksgiving Holidays, 5 Winter Break Holidays, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth).

  • During the Winter Break there is limited supervision of the Residence, all services are reduced or suspended, and annual maintenance and renovations may occur.

  • When teachers and students have an early closing, for example, prior to Thanksgiving and Winter Break, all support staff will be permitted to leave two hours earlier than their normal workdays.

  • Employees who work at least 215 but less than 240 days will be paid for eleven (11) holidays per year (Labor Day, 2 Thanksgiving Holidays, 5 Winter Break Holidays, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth).

  • The Resident may apply to occupy a Room during the Winter Break period as detailed in Table 2.

  • Employees who work less than 215 days will be paid for ten (10) holidays per year (Labor Day, 2 Thanksgiving Holidays, 5 Winter Break Holidays, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day).

  • If the Reside nt is found occupying a Room during the Winter Break without having given written notice to the Manager, the Resident shall be subject to $40.00 for each day during the Winter Break period or $200.00 for the entire Winter Break, due immediately.

  • Winter Break applications will be made available to Residents by the Manager.

  • Applications are due on or before December 1 at 5:00 p.m. If the Resident’s application is approved, they may be required to pay a small fee (detailed in Table 2) for Winter Break occupancy before the beginning of the Winter Break.

Winter Break means December 21, 2019 to 12:00 noon on January 12, 2020.
Winter Break. All Room and Board housing at TWU is closed during the break between the Fall and Spring semesters (Dec 17, 2022 - Jan 8, 2023). Students are permitted to leave their belongings in their accommodation but may not access their residence during the break without permission.
Winter Break is the UNLV break between the Fall and Spring semesters, residing on-campus during Winter Break requires a separate contractual agreement. All residents are sent a Winter Break application via email prior to the start of Winter Break that describes the criteria for application acceptance. Not all applications are accepted.

  • Major Breach means a breach of:

  • B-BBEE means broad-based black economic empowerment as defined in section 1 of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act;

  • public open space means the securing of an area of a site at grade or street level which is acceptable to the City and is appropriately landscaped for the use and enjoyment of the public during reasonable hours.

  • Banking Premises means the interior of that portion of any building occupied by a banking institution or similar safe depository.

  • Existing Building means a building that (a) was in existence and completely constructed on the date that the Applicant first submitted its Application, or (b) in respect of which the IESO has, in its sole and absolute discretion, issued a written confirmation that the building will be deemed an Existing Building for the purposes of the definition of Rooftop Facility.

  • Residential living care means a level of service provided by an assisted living facility for adults who may have physical or mental impairments and require only minimal assistance with the activities of daily living. The definition of "residential living care" includes the services provided by independent living facilities that voluntarily become licensed.

  • Lease Event of Default shall have the meaning specified in Section 17.1 of the Lease.

  • Public building and "public work" means a public building of, and a public work of, a governmental entity (the United States; the District of Columbia; commonwealths, territories, and minor outlying islands of the United States; State and local governments; and multi-State, regional, or interstate entities which have governmental functions). These buildings and works may include, without limitation, bridges, dams, plants, highways, parkways, streets, subways, tunnels, sewers, mains, power lines, pumping stations, heavy generators, railways, airports, terminals, docks, piers, wharves, ways, lighthouses, buoys, jetties, breakwaters, levees, and canals, and the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of such buildings and works.

  • Collocation Space means an area of space located in a Building to be used by CLEC to house telecommunications equipment. Additionally, roof or wall space used for wireless interconnection shall be included in the definition where applicable.

  • Occasion of Tax Non-Compliance means: (a) any tax return of the Supplier submitted to a Relevant Tax Authority on or after 1 October 2012 is found on or after 1 April 2013 to be incorrect as a result of: (i) a Relevant Tax Authority successfully challenging the Supplier under the General Anti-Abuse Rule or the Halifax Abuse Principle or under any tax rules or legislation that have an effect equivalent or similar to the General Anti-Abuse Rule or the Halifax Abuse Principle; (ii) the failure of an avoidance scheme which the Supplier was involved in, and which was, or should have been, notified to a Relevant Tax Authority under the DOTAS or any equivalent or similar regime; and/or (b) any tax return of the Supplier submitted to a Relevant Tax Authority on or after 1 October 2012 gives rise, on or after 1 April 2013, to a criminal conviction in any jurisdiction for tax related offences which is not spent at the Effective Date or to a civil penalty for fraud or evasion;

  • Heritage Building means a Building designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18, or any successor legislation, or a Building designated under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act,R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18, or any successor legislation, which has been identified as a significant heritage resource in a conservation district plan and any Building listed in the Markham Register of Property of Cultural Heritage Value of Interest;

  • trade premises means any premises used or intended to be used for carrying on any trade or industry;

  • Bid Opening Date means the date the Bid is opened by the City.
