Disability leave without pay is an employee's absence from duty without County pay because of disability caused by illness or injury arising out of and in the course of employment which has been declared to be compensable under Workers' Compensation Law.
Payment of disability leave shall be at the base pay of the employee and shall be reduced by the amount of temporary disability indemnity received pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law.
Such insurance shall comply with the Florida Worker's Compensation Law.
In accordance with Section 142 of the State Finance Law, this contract shall be void and of no force and effect unless the Contractor shall provide and maintain coverage during the life of this contract for the benefit of such employees as are required to be covered by the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Law.
