Absence Due to Injury or Illness. (a) Every Employee who is absent from work due to injury or illness (whether occupational or non-occupational) will be unpaid for the duration of the absence from work, except where paid leave is taken in accordance with Article 22.01. (b) Subject to Article 22.03(a), for non-occupational injuries or illnesses resulting in absences of 10 consecutive days or more, the Employee shall provide Employee Health Services with medical documentation. The Employee is responsible for costs incurred in connection with attending appointments at, or information required from, the Employee’s physician.
