Academic Assistant (AA. An AA shall be defined as an enrolled Trent University student who does not currently hold a GTA, and who is not responsible for the overall evaluation of students in a lab or workshop group, assigning and marking of students’ overall written and oral work in a course or principally responsible for conducting the lab or workshop; AA will work under the direction of a supervisor and will not work without oversight. Duties related to the position, which shall be in accordance with University and departmental practices, shall be determined by the person(s) who has (have) principal responsibility for the course. Assigned duties include the following: • Demonstrating problem-solving and analytical techniques and related marking (e.g. Mathematics, Chemistry), • Assist facilitating small group discussions and development of problem solving strategies (e.g. Environmental Studies, Indigenous Studies), • Assisting students in laboratory settings (e.g. Biology).

Duties related to the position, which shall be in accordance with University and departmental practices, shall be determined by the person(s) who has (have) principal responsibility for the course. Related to Academic Assistant (AA

  • Educational Assistants Teachers are responsible to assign instructional duties to Educational Assistants who are allocated to students in their classroom by the Principal.

  • Training and Technical Assistance COALITION will notify PROVIDER of the availability of training, technical assistance, and other targeted assistance in support of the provision of quality VPK services. COALITION will offer technical assistance for providers on probation. The technical assistance will be designed to facilitate the development and implementation of an improvement plan. The technical assistance will be offered in a manner and schedule prescribed by the COALITION or school district.

  • Training Assistance (a) Employees shall be reimbursed for one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition for job-related courses approved by the Employer.

  • Teaching Assistants 1. All Teaching Assistants shall receive the same remuneration per base unit and the difference between the amount paid a Graduate Teaching Assistant and other Teaching Assistants is an associated scholarship. See XIII D. for appropriate compensation.

  • DEVELOPMENT OR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS/ STATEMENTS OF WORK Firms and/or individuals that assisted in the development or drafting of the specifications, requirements, statements of work, or solicitation documents contained herein are excluded from competing for this solicitation. This shall not be applicable to firms and/or individuals providing responses to a publicly posted Request for Information (RFI) associated with a solicitation.

  • EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM The District’s Educational Assistance Program will be continued during the life of this Agreement. Employees who wish to enroll in job-related and promotion oriented courses, which will improve their job knowledge, and performance will be compensated by the District for expenses as follows:

  • Volunteer Peer Assistants 1. Up to eight (8)

  • EDUCATION ASSISTANTS 1. All Education Assistants employed by the Board to assist teachers in carrying out their responsibilities and duties under the School Act and Regulations shall be assigned to classes and/or students by the Principal and shall be assigned specific duties by the teacher during the designated periods of time.

  • Educational Assistance To qualify for reimbursement, an employee must be a regular employee upon enrollment. To be approved, the courses described below must be related to the employee's present position or career development:

  • VISIBILITY OF FUNDING FROM THE OFFICIAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE Unless the SAIDC requests or agrees otherwise, any communication or publication made by the Final Beneficiary that relates to the action, including at conferences, seminars or in any information or promotional materials (such as brochures, leaflets, posters, presentations in electronic form, etc.), including tangible assets acquired from the project must: (a) indicate that the action has received funding from the Official Development Assistance, SlovakAid and (b) display the SlovakAid logo. When displayed in association with another logo, the SlovakAid logo must have appropriate prominence. The obligation to display the SlovakAid logo does not confer on the Final Beneficiary a right of exclusive use. The Final Beneficiary may not appropriate the SlovakAid logo or any similar trademark or logo, either by registration or by any other means. For the purposes of the first, second and third subparagraphs and under the conditions specified therein, the Final Beneficiary may use the SlovakAid logo without first obtaining permission from the SAIDC.
