Educational Assistants. Teachers are responsible to assign instructional duties to Educational Assistants who are allocated to students in their classroom by the Principal.
Educational Assistants. An employee shall only be considered a Full-Time employee where the employee is regularly scheduled to work a minimum of twenty-five (25) hours per week during the school year. The normal hours of work shall be up to seven (7) hours per day to a maximum of thirty-five (35) hours per week.
Educational Assistants. The regular work week shall be a maximum of six and one half (6.5) hours per day, Monday through Friday, for a total of thirty-two and one half (32.5) hours per week maximum, including 4 PD days and exam days as required by the program. If an Educational Assistant is hired after the PD days have occurred then there is no eligibility.

Educational Assistants. An employee may be credited with two (2) years of prior experience upon initial employment if applicable to actual position filled. An employee must have worked FULL TIME for at least one (1) full semester (90 days) in a school year to be credited with one (1) year of experience. Elementary PE Assistants with current teaching license may be credited with all full-time teaching experience (including out-of-district) up to the maximum number of years allowed on the salary schedule.

Educational Assistants. When educationally necessary, as determined by the administration, educational assistants may be employed at any institutional level. Educational Assistants will be under the supervision of the teacher and building principal. They shall not be employed to occupy positions normally filled by licensed teachers.
