Common use of Accessing Sick Leave Credits Clause in Contracts

Accessing Sick Leave Credits. (a) Full-time Employees shall have access to their accumulated sick leave credits to maintain their regular income when they are on sick leave. (b) An Employee on OTFT status shall have access to utilize accrued sick leave credits for any shifts scheduled in advance. An Employee on OTFT status who becomes unavailable for duty due to illness or injury for any time period in excess of the schedule as posted and confirmed shall have access to accrued sick leave credits based on the average number of paid hours in the previous fifty-two (52) weeks until such time as either her sick leave credits expire or she is available for work. In no case shall an OTFT – RPT or OTFT –JS access less than their regularly scheduled shifts.
