Accumulation of Seniority and salary increases during leave. The period of an employee's leave shall be included in calculating any of the following for the purpose of determining her rights under the Collective Agreement: a) salary increases b) seniority accumulation The period of an employee's leave shall not be included in determining whether she has completed the probationary period under the Collective Agreement. For the purposes of calculating seniority accumulation for an employee, other than a permanent full-time, shall be on the basis of the total number of hours worked in the twelve (12) months prior to the beginning of the leave. This total number of hours divided by twelve (12) will provide a monthly average of hours work. This monthly average will be considered as accumulated seniority for each month the employee is on leave. Where the employee's leave is not a complete month, the average will be prorated.
