Acting Capacity Pay. 1. Acting capacity pay is paid when an employee is appointed to a different position in a higher non-exempt classification on a temporary basis. An employee who is in acting capacity must meet the minimum qualifications of the position. The effective date for acting capacity pay shall be the date that the employee began performing the higher level duties consistent with Section 2.A above.
