Common use of Actual Layoff Clause in Contracts

Actual Layoff. In the event of an actual layoff, management will notify the affected employee(s) in writing as soon as practicable but not less than two (2) weeks in advance of the layoff date and will send a copy of such notice to the Local Union President and WLEA. Such layoff notices will be hand delivered to the employee or shall be mailed via first class U.S. Mail.
