Common use of Addiction Recovery and Substance Abuse Policy Clause in Contracts

Addiction Recovery and Substance Abuse Policy. The Union, the Employer and Individual Employers have established a joint program which shall enable all parties to deal with drug and/or alcohol abuse problems from both a safety and productivity enhancement point of view as well as recognizing the individual rights and wellbeing of each Employee. Said policy and program is set forth in Addendum C attached hereto and made a part hereof. The implementation of this policy is not mandatory by any Individual Employer, but once implemented, the program shall remain in effect unless otherwise agreed to by the Union and the Individual Employer.
