Additional Leave for Non-Industrial Accident or Illness. An employee who has exhausted all entitlement to sick leave, compensatory overtime, vacation, or other avail- able paid leave may, upon written request, be granted additional leave for up to eighteen (18) months (not to exceed increments of 6 month periods) on a paid or unpaid basis at the option of the District.
