Common use of Additional Teaching Background Clause in Contracts

Additional Teaching Background. A leave of absence may be granted any teacher, upon application, for the purpose of participating in the Peace Corps, Teachers Corps, Job Corps, or Volunteers in Service to America, as a full-time participant in such program, provided said teacher states his or her intention to return to the school system upon completion of the program. Upon return from such leave, a teacher shall be placed at the same position on the Compensation Model as they were when they left. The teacher may reapply for another one (1)-year leave within ninety (90) days of the expiration of the first leave.
