Union President Leave. The Union president or designee will be provided up to ten (10) school days for conducting Union business provided the Union pays the cost of the substitute employed to replace the teacher on President’s Leave. It is further agreed that Presidents' Leave days must be taken in at least one-half (1/2) day increments.

Union President Leave. The Education Minnesota – OSSEO ESP President shall be released full-time from their assigned duties without the loss of pay, benefits, or seniority to conduct duties as president of the Union. The expense associated with this release time shall be cost as part of the contract settlement represented as a half-time (0.50 FTE) position, with the remaining 0.50 FTE of the position to be invoiced to Education Minnesota-OSSEO.
Union President Leave. (a) An employee who is elected as President of the bargaining unit will be granted up to half-time release from their regular position. The employee will continue to receive their regular pay and benefits while President and the Board will be reimbursed 100% of the replacement costs. Notification of such leave request should be directed, annually, to the senior administrator in Human Resource Services. (b) Where the employee elected Union President is permanent full-time at a fixed location, the Union President shall have the right to return to that location for a period not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months, after which the position shall be posted as a permanent vacancy. In the event that the employee serves as Union President in excess of twenty-four (24) consecutive months or the position at the original location no longer exists, he/she shall be entitled to exercise bumping rights according to Article L17.04 (c) upon return from such position.
Union President Leave. (a) Effective July 1, 2011, the Chief of the Department and Fire and Rescue Services shall offer the Union President the full-time assigned position of President of Xxxxxx County Local 2000 for the purpose of performing official union business. The Union President will be assigned to the Bureau of Administrative Services and work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm for the purpose of conducting work which relates to Union business and remaining accessible to the Fire Chief. The Union President shall remain on the payroll of the Department of Fire and Rescue Services and shall receive all benefits as if he/she were fully on duty including, but not limited to, pension accruals, seniority and fringe benefits to exclude use of a county car, day work differential or overtime related to Union activities. It shall be the responsibility of the Union President to attend all mandatory training and maintain all certifications for the individual’s job classification. (b) Upon mutual agreement between the Fire Chief and the Union President, the Union President may be assigned to a position within the Department to continue working in an official capacity as directed by the Chief. (c) The Chief reserves the right to assign the Union President to an active fire position based upon exigent operational circumstances.
Union President Leave. The Employer shall, upon request, grant the elected 22 President of the Union up to 187 days of leave per fiscal year without the loss of 23 salary, step increment, or Employer paid fringe benefits. Request for union 24 president leave shall be made in writing to the Superintendent/designee normally 25 at least five (5) days in advance of the leave usage. Should the Union President 26 be a school based employee, the employee must take leave for their entire work 27 calendar to allow the school to have a full-time replacement. The Union will 28 reimburse the Employer the salary of the Union President for all union president 29 leave granted. 31 Following the leave, the employee will be returned to the assignment held prior to 32 leave. In the event the assignment is not available, the employee will be given a 33 comparable assignment.

In this regard the Employer agrees to continue the wages and bill the Union as provided in Article Graduation Leave The necessary time (up to one (I) day maximum) is granted for an employee to attend own graduation ceremonies, or those of own son, daughter, husband, wife, common-law spouse or same sex partner, grandparent or grandchild from a secondary or post-secondary institution.

  • Association President The President of the Association has the right to visit schools. The President will coordinate the visits with the offices of the principals in order to facilitate the purpose of this visit. Visits that are made to solve special problems of teachers will be arranged in advance by notifying the office of the principal.

  • President’s Leave The Employer shall authorize a leave of absence with pay for the President of the Association. The leave of absence with pay shall be taken for a two-year period beginning two (2) weeks after written notice by the Association to the Bureau of Employee Relations and the newly-elected President’s agency. During such leave of absence with pay, the President shall continue to receive and retain all of his/her wages, rights, benefits, and seniority as a state employee except that all leave accumulation shall be frozen for the duration of the leave of absence. Upon returning from the leave of absence, the President shall resume earning leave at the rates appropriate to his/her service at the time of return. The Employer agrees that there shall be no action taken with respect to the President or the President’s state position prior to or following his/her return from the leave of absence because of his/her legal union activities. The Association agrees to reimburse the Employer for the full cost of the wages and benefits for the President, and to indemnify the Employer against any and all liabilities associated with the leave of absence, including but not limited to workers' compensation.

  • Vice Chairman In the absence of the Chairman of the Board, the Vice Chairman shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the unitholders of the MLP; and he shall have such other powers and duties as from time to time may be assigned to him by the Board of Directors.

  • Staff Development Leave (a) An employee will be granted leave without loss of pay, at their basic rate of pay, to take courses (including related examinations) or attend conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops, symposiums or similar out-of-service programs, at the request of the Employer. The amount of pay received by an employee will not exceed the full-time daily hours of work as outlined in Clause 14.2 (Hours of Work). When such leave is granted, the Employer will bear the full cost, including tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-related books. The Employer will also reimburse the employee for approved travelling, subsistence, and other legitimate, applicable expenses. (b) An employee may be granted leave without pay, with pay, or leave with partial pay, to take work related courses in which the employee wishes to enrol to acquire the skills necessary to enhance opportunities. (c) Approval of requests will be given reasonable consideration and leaves pursuant to this article will be administered in a reasonable manner. (d) Should the employee noted above terminate their employment for any reason during the six month period following completion of the above-noted leave, the employee will reimburse the Employer for all expenses incurred by the Employer (i.e. tuition fees, entrance or registration fees, laboratory fees, and course-required books) on a proportionate basis.
