All work performed under this contract shall comply with the NYCDOT Highway Rules as codified in Title 34, Chapter 2 of the Rules of the City of New York, as may be amended from time to time. The Contractor shall also adhere to all other applicable laws, rules and regulations.

ADHERENCE TO LAWS, RULES AND REGULATIONS. All work performed under this Contract shall comply with the Highway Rules of the New York City Department of Transportation. The Contractor shall also adhere to all other applicable laws, rules and regulations. Sidewalk flags must be fully restored where excavated for the installation of conduit or a foundation. On non-protected streets requiring trenches of, or less than, twelve (12) inches in final restoration require a cut back of six (6) inches of the wearing course on both sides of the trench, so that the cut is a minimum of (24) inches wide.
