Adoption Care Leave. A total of twelve weeks, including the use of accumulated sick leave, is allowed for approved adoption leave and such time period shall begin immediately following the adoption of the child. The granting of the adoption leave is contingent upon the District obtaining a written agreement with the employee designating the date that employee will return to work and legal verification of adoption.
Adoption Care Leave. 9.7.2.3 The employee will have the right to continue health coverage at their own expense if granted extended leave by the District for more than twelve weeks. Refer to 9.3.8.
