Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. Unit members may use all accumulated sick leave for absences during a primary term or a summer/winter intersession.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. In addition to illness or injury, accumulated unused sick leave may be used by a unit employee for:
1. Temporary disability as outlined in this agreement.
2. Family care leave as outlined in this agreement.
3. Transfer to the employee’s RHSP account as set forth in Article Four.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. 1. The employee, upon return to duty, shall be placed in a position similar to what was held at the time of leave.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. Accumulated sick leave may be applied to such leave. After all accumulated sick leave is exhausted; the employee is eligible to receive the difference between her salary and that paid to the substitute employee filling her position for a period of up to five months or for the duration of the temporary disability, whichever is less.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. A teacher xxx utilize accumulated sick leave while on maternity leave under the following terms and conditions:
1. The teacher continues to work until such time as she is physically disabled from working. The Superintendent may require the teacher to produce medical certification of disability as aforementioned.
2. The accumulated sick leave may only be utilized during the period of the teacher’s physical disability. With the exception of the use of accumulated sick leave as provided above and with the exception of paid leave as provided in Section IV below, maternity and parental leave are unpaid.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. An employee may take accumulated Sick Leave beginning the day following the delivery date. Should the member wish to utilize accumulated Sick Leave for a period extending beyond six weeks (30 full time working days) following the delivery date, written authorization from the member’s physician shall be submitted to the Superintendent or designee indicating that such continued leave is necessary. The member returning from Sick Leave shall be assigned the same position the member left unless reassignment occurs in accordance with other provisions of this Agreement.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. Employees who have an 23 accumulated Xxxx Leave balance will receive paid time-off using their accumulated Sick 24 Leave beginning on the first (1st) day of their absence. Once an employee has 25 exhausted their accrued sick leave balance, their accrued vacation leave will be 26 charged prior to leave without pay. If an employee has called in Sick, the employee will 27 not be allowed to work any portion of their normal shift or “Run”. 29 All Sick Leave hours paid will be at the employee’s current straight-time rate of pay.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. 1. Librarians are expected to use sick leave in keeping with normally approved purposes-- personal illness, disability, medical appointment, attendance to the illness of a family member, or bereavement. Accumulated sick leave may be used for temporary disability related to pregnancy, childbirth, and recovery therefrom.
2. A librarian may be required to submit satisfactory proof of illness or disability.
3. Sick leave shall not be used prior to the time it is credited nor shall sick leave be used beyond a predetermined separation date.
4. Regularly scheduled days off and University administrative holidays shall not be charged against sick leave.
5. While receiving injury or health compensation under the Worker's Compensation Act, an absent librarian may also receive sick leave benefits provided the total of the sick leave pay and worker's compensation does not exceed the employee's regular salary for the period.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. Thirty (30) days leave (6 weeks) sick pay allowance may be paid, if required, after the employee has exhausted his/her accumulated sick leave. This provision shall apply only when the employee is totally and continuously disabled as the result of sickness or accidental bodily injury.
Use of Accumulated Sick Leave. 1. Librarians are expected to use sick leave in keeping with normally approved purposes— personal illness, disability, medical appointment, attendance to the illness of a family member, or bereavement. Accumulated sick leave may be used for temporary disability related to pregnancy, childbirth, and recovery there from, and for Parental Leave as described in Appendix D Section A.14.
2. A librarian may be required to submit satisfactory proof of illness or disability.
3. Sick leave shall not be used prior to the time it is credited nor shall sick leave be used beyond a predetermined separation date.
4. Regularly scheduled days off and University administrative holidays shall not be charged against sick leave.
5. While receiving injury or health compensation under the Worker’s Compensation Act, an absent librarian may also receive sick leave benefits provided the total of the sick leave pay and worker’s compensation does not exceed the employee’s regular salary for the period.
6. If, while on vacation, a librarian becomes ill or is otherwise subject to the normally approved purposes of sick leave as described in Section 20.B.1. above, the librarian may use accumulated sick leave for that purpose.
