Common use of Adoption/Parental Leave Clause in Contracts

Adoption/Parental Leave. 22.01 An Employee who has completed ninety (90) days of continuous service with the Employer before commencing leave and who is adopting a child, shall be granted leave of absence without pay for up to sixty two (62) weeks within seventy-eight (78) weeks of the adoption date. The Employee shall provide satisfactory proof of adoption and shall give the Employer reasonable notice in writing of the date on which the leave is to commence.

Adoption/Parental Leave. 22.01 (a) An Employee, other than an Employee as described in 30.05 (d) who has completed been employed for ninety (90) days of continuous service with the Employer before commencing leave and who is adopting a childor greater, shall upon written request, be granted a leave of absence without pay for up to sixty sixty-two (62) weeks within seventy-eight (78) weeks for the purpose of the adoption date. The Employee shall provide satisfactory proof of adoption and shall give the Employer reasonable notice in writing of the date on which the leave is to commenceadopting/parenting a child.

The Employee shall provide satisfactory proof birth of adoption and shall give the Employer reasonable notice in writing of the date on which the leave is to commencea child.
