Allergan Responsibilities. During the Research Term and any Research Term Extension, Allergan shall use Commercially Reasonable Efforts to conduct the following activities: (a) evaluate Product Candidates by performing appropriate preclinical efficacy, pharmacokinetic, formulation and safety studies; (b) through the JSC, select AGN DARPin Domains for each Collaboration Target; (c) through the JSC, designate the Collaboration Target Combinations for which Molecular Partners will generate Product Candidates, (d) perform the Modifications to Product Candidates that Allergan has been directed to perform by the JSC under Section 2.5, (e) determine the optimal route of delivery (e.g., by topical delivery, direct injection or delivery via a Drug Delivery System) for each Product Candidate; and (f) conduct all activities necessary for Allergan to determine, in its sole discretion, whether or not to exercise each Option for a Collaboration Target Combination. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, except as expressly provided in Section 2.5 or 5.7, Allergan shall not have the right to modify any DARPin Domain.
