Allocation of Teaching and Departmental/Program Duties IV. 2.1.1 Teaching, and general departmental/program duties, shall be allocated in a fair, equitable and reasonable manner taking into consideration the academic responsibilities and skills of individual members, the terms of members' appointments, the needs of the department's/program's academic program and, when possible, the preference of individual members. Teaching duties and responsibilities will be determined by the departmental/program Chair following consultation with the appropriate departmental/program committee. Members shall have the right to request reconsideration of their teaching and departmental/program duties by their departmental/program Chair during the two-week period immediately following its assignment. Failure to request reconsideration in this period negates any right the member has to have the assigned duties reconsidered. Where a member requests, in writing, that a Chair reconsider his/her teaching and departmental/program duties, the Chair shall be expected to respond to the request, in writing, within ten (10) working days of receipt. In allocating teaching duties and responsibilities, a departmental/program Chair is expected to take into account factors such as the following:

  • State of New York Executive Department Office of General Services Procurement Services ‌ Corning Tower - 00xx Xxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxx Xxxxxx, XX 00000 THIS CONTRACT (hereinafter “Contract” or “Centralized Contract”) for the acquisition of Project Based Information Technology Consulting Services is made between the People of the State of New York, acting by and through the Commissioner of the Office of General Services (hereinafter “State” or “OGS”) whose principal place of business is the 41st Floor, Corning Tower, The Governor Xxxxxx X.   • VISIBILITY OF FUNDING FROM THE OFFICIAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE Unless the SAIDC requests or agrees otherwise, any communication or publication made by the Final Beneficiary that relates to the action, including at conferences, seminars or in any information or promotional materials (such as brochures, leaflets, posters, presentations in electronic form, etc.), including tangible assets acquired from the project must: (a) indicate that the action has received funding from the Official Development Assistance, SlovakAid and (b) display the SlovakAid logo. When displayed in association with another logo, the SlovakAid logo must have appropriate prominence. The obligation to display the SlovakAid logo does not confer on the Final Beneficiary a right of exclusive use. The Final Beneficiary may not appropriate the SlovakAid logo or any similar trademark or logo, either by registration or by any other means. For the purposes of the first, second and third subparagraphs and under the conditions specified therein, the Final Beneficiary may use the SlovakAid logo without first obtaining permission from the SAIDC.

  • NON-TEACHING DUTIES A. The Committee and the Association agree that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach. It must be remembered, however, that in addition to that primary purpose there are other responsibilities within the School that must be assumed by teachers. The Committee and the Association recognize that paraeducators, clerical employees are useful and necessary in order to implement teaching. The Committee, having made provisions for paraeducators, will continue to work toward the improvement of this situation.

  • Files Management and Record Retention relating to Grantee and Administration of this Agreement a. The Grantee shall maintain books, records, and documents in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures and practices which sufficiently and properly reflect all expenditures of funds provided by Florida Housing under this Agreement.

  • Allocation and use of scarce resources Any procedures for the allocation and use of scarce resources, including frequencies, numbers and rights of way, will be carried out in an objective, timely, transparent and non-discriminatory manner. The current state of allocated frequency bands will be made publicly available, but detailed identification of frequencies allocated for specific government uses is not required.

  • Health Promotion and Health Education Both parties to this Agreement recognize the value and importance of health promotion and health education programs. Such programs can assist employees and their dependents to maintain and enhance their health, and to make appropriate use of the health care system. To work toward these goals:

  • RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT The Department agrees to:

  • Department Responsibilities The use of sick leave may properly be denied if these procedures are not followed. Abuse of sick leave on the part of the employee is cause for disciplinary action. Departmental approval of sick leave is a certification of the legitimacy of the sick leave claim. The department head or designee may make reasonable inquiries about employee absences. The department may require medical verification for an absence of three (3) or more working days. The department may also require medical verification for absences of less than three (3) working days for probable cause if the employee had been notified in advance in writing that such verification was necessary. Inquiries may be made in the following ways:

  • Department of Health and Human Services An employee notified of a positive controlled substance or alcohol test result may request an independent test of their split sample at the employee’s expense. If the test result is negative, the Employer will reimburse the employee for the cost of the split sample test. An employee who has a positive alcohol test and/or a positive controlled substance test may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, based on the incident that prompted the testing, including a violation of the drug and alcohol free work place rules.

  • Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions 10.14.1 Contractor agrees to comply fully with and be bound by all of the provisions of Chapter 12T, “City Contractor/Subcontractor Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions,” of the San Francisco Administrative Code (“Chapter 12T”), including the remedies provided, and implementing regulations, as may be amended from time to time. The provisions of Chapter 12T are incorporated by reference and made a part of this Agreement as though fully set forth herein. The text of the Chapter 12T is available on the web at xxxx://xxxxx.xxx/olse/fco. Contractor is required to comply with all of the applicable provisions of 12T, irrespective of the listing of obligations in this Section. Capitalized terms used in this Section and not defined in this Agreement shall have the meanings assigned to such terms in Chapter 12T.
