Alternate Time Sample Clauses

The Alternate Time clause establishes a provision for scheduling or rescheduling obligations, events, or deadlines to a different time than originally specified in the agreement. In practice, this clause allows parties to agree on an alternative time for performance, such as moving a delivery date or extending a response period, often subject to mutual consent or specific conditions outlined in the contract. Its core function is to provide flexibility and accommodate unforeseen circumstances, thereby reducing the risk of breach due to rigid timing requirements.
Alternate Time. In lieu of payment for overtime, the Employee may opt for alternate time off at overtime rates for each hour worked. Such time off shall be offered by the Employer to the Employee within sixty (60) days of the overtime accruing and shall be taken within six (6) months of the date of offer.
Alternate Time. A. Alternate time assignments may be granted to faculty members for the purpose of performing duties beyond the areas of instructional and institutional responsibilities defined in the Workload Policy (4107). Such duties may include, but are not limited to, administration, coordination of faculty or student activities, special teaching, coaching, special projects, work during vacation periods, chairing/ coordinating the College’s academic programs and departments, and extraordinary curriculum development. B. The development of new courses and programs, as well as the modification of existing ones, is normally considered to be the responsibility of the full-time faculty. As a general rule, alternate time or overload is not assigned for these tasks. However, when one or more of the following extraordinary conditions is present, a faculty member may submit a request to the appropriate ▇▇▇▇ for additional compensation based on the standard formula of 1 LHE per 45 academic hours of work, up to a maximum of the number of LHEs assigned to the course. 1. Extensive transformation to adapt a traditional course to an innovative delivery mode 2. Course development that necessitates preparation of detailed lesson plans and/or instructional materials to meet accreditation or certification requirements 3. Course development that requires special training or research for the faculty member 4. Development of teaching materials to be used by other faculty in the department/program 5. Difficulty of obtaining necessary background to develop the course 6. Development of a new degree or certificate program. 7. Extraordinary modification of an existing degree or certificate program. C. When a vacancy occurs in the coordination of a new or continuing College-wide project (e.g., Professional Development, Academic Computing, etc.), the administrator in charge of the project will notify, in writing, all faculty members of the position's availability and the amount of alternate time to be awarded. Any interested faculty member may apply. This paragraph does not apply to projects conceived and initiated by faculty members who agree to coordinate them. In extraordinary circumstances the appropriate Vice President and the OCCFA President may agree to waive this notification so that an immediate appointment may be made. Alternate time awarded for the position will remain constant as long as the responsibilities do not demonstrably change.

  • RDDS update time Refers to the time measured from the reception of an EPP confirmation to a transform command on a domain name, host or contact, up until the servers of the RDDS services reflect the changes made.

  • DNS update time Refers to the time measured from the reception of an EPP confirmation to a transform command on a domain name, until the name servers of the parent domain name answer “DNS queries” with data consistent with the change made. This only applies for changes to DNS information.

  • Crib Time (i) When an Employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of twenty minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration. (ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.

  • Flex Time Agencies shall, where practicable, establish flex time work schedules for their employees. Such flex time work schedules shall guarantee the Employer's ability to provide services, to meet all workload demands as defined by the Employer, and to the extent practicable, meet employees' personal scheduling preferences. Approval of such requests shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Show Up Time An employee who reports to work in the usual manner without having been notified that there is no work available and is sent home because of lack of work before having worked four (4) hours shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at their prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive their full accommodation allowance if and when applicable. Each employee must inform the Employer of a means of being contacted on short notice. If an attempt is made by the Employer at least two (2) hours before the employee’s shift commences by way of the contact information provided, in an effort to inform the employee of a lack of work, and the Employer is unable to do so, the employee will not be entitled to show up time.
