Common use of Annual Convention Leave Clause in Contracts

Annual Convention Leave. The Board or its designee agree that up to two (2) members of the Union who have been elected as official Local 1600 delegates to conferences or conventions of the American Federation of Teachers, and Illinois Federation of Teachers shall be granted paid leave to attend such conferences and/or conventions. The Board and Union agree that the maximum number of work days with pay granted to the Union under this provision shall be ten (10) per year, and no more.
