Common use of Annual Conversion of Accumulated Illness, Injury and Emergency Leave Clause in Contracts

Annual Conversion of Accumulated Illness, Injury and Emergency Leave. Any employee who at the end of the immediately previous calendar year shall have accumulated in excess of sixty (60) days of unused illness, injury and emergency leave, may convert unused illness, injury and emergency leave earned the previous year in excess of the said sixty (60) days to monetary compensation at the rate of 25 percent of the employee's current full-time daily rate of compensation for each full day of eligible illness, injury and emergency leave, up to twelve (12) days. Any such election shall be made by written notice to Human Resources during the month of January. Any such annual conversion of accumulated illness, injury and emergency leave shall be in accordance with law.
