Common use of Appearance in Court Clause in Contracts

Appearance in Court. An employee required to serve jury duty or one who has been served with a subpoena to appear as a witness shall be paid the difference between what they would have earned for their scheduled hours at their paid rate and the court fee received. Employees should notify their Xxxxxxx as soon as possible after receipt of notice of selection for jury duty or after receipt of the subpoena to appear as a witness. The Company may require the employee to furnish a certificate of service from an officer of the court before making any payment under this section. Leaves under the provisions of this clause shall be recognized and granted on a full day basis.
