Internal Sabbaticals for Employees Serving in Designated Bilingual and Special Education Classrooms. 1. The District will provide for granting internal sabbaticals to teach in a non- bilingual or regular education classroom to a limited number of permanent employees who have served full-time for a least six (6) consecutive years in designated bilingual or special education classrooms. Applications must be received by February 1, and will be accepted from those teachers who are not on an improvement plan.
