Appointment of Mentors. (1) By May 15 of each year, the Director of Human Resources will post a notice to all certified staff that the district is seeking year 1 Resident Educator qualified mentor candidates for the following school year. The posting will include: candidate requirements, expected hours of service and supplemental contract amount. A list of district-wide applicants will be maintained for review by the Resident Educator Planning Committee to match resident educators with mentors prior to the start of the school each year. (2) The Resident Educator Planning Committee will create an appropriate match of mentor and Resident Educator. If no qualified mentor is available from the building list, a trained mentor shall be recruited by the committee.
