APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. Section 5.01. There shall be a local Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) consisting of a total of either 6 or 8 members who shall also serve as trustees to the local apprenticeship and training trust. An equal number of members (either 3 or 4) shall be appointed, in writing, by the local chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the local union of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The local apprenticeship standards shall be in conformance with national guideline standards and industry policies to ensure that each apprentice has satisfactorily completed the NJATC required hours and course of study. All apprenticeship standards shall be registered with the NJATC before being submitted to the appropriate registration agency. The JATC shall be responsible for the training of apprentices, journeymen, installers, technicians, and all others (un-indentured, intermediate journeymen, etc.).
Section 5.02. All JATC member appointments, reappointments, and acceptance of appointments shall be in writing. Each member shall be appointed for a 3-year term, unless being appointed for a lesser period of time to complete an un-expired term. The terms shall be staggered, with one (1) term from each side expiring each year. JATC members shall complete their appointed term unless removed for cause by the party they represent or they voluntarily resign. All vacancies shall be filled immediately. The JATC shall select from its membership, but not both from the same party, a Chairman and a Secretary who shall retain voting privileges. The JATC will maintain one (1) set of minutes for JATC committee meetings and a separate set of minutes for trust meetings. The JATC should meet on a monthly basis, and also upon the call of the Chairman.
Section 5.03. Any issue concerning an apprentice or an apprenticeship matter shall be referred to the JATC for its review, evaluation and resolve; as per standards and policies. If the JATC deadlocks on any issue, the matter shall be referred to the Labor-Management Committee for resolution as outlined in Article I of this agreement; except for trust fund matters, which shall be resolved as stipulated in the local trust instrument.

It is agreed that all Employers covered by this Agreement shall contribute a sum as listed in Schedule "A" herein for each compensable man-hour of Carpenters, including supervisory employees when covered by this Agreement. Said contribution shall be made to ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇- Employers Apprenticeship and Training Trust Fund of Washington-Idaho the manner as set forth in the Trust Agreement of said Trust. The details of such Apprenticeship and Training Plan established by this Trust Fund and this Trust Fund itself shall continue to be controlled and administered by a Joint Board of Trustees composed of equal representation of labor and management who are signators to the Trust Agreement of the aforesaid Trust Fund. Each Trustee appointed by the Union shall be a member of the Union and employed by the Union and each Management trustee shall be a salaried executive or officer of a signatory Employer, or an employee of an Employer association, on behalf of its member employers.

APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. 29.01 The Employers agree to explore and participate in Operating Engineer training programs. In recognition of the need of bona fide training, the Parties agree to the provisions herein.
29.02 When an employee is assigned to a job for which he is not fully qualified or experienced within a higher wage classification, he shall continue at his former classification rate for not more than fifteen (15) working days.
29.03 The ratio of apprentices to operators or mechanics shall be: Two (2) to Eight (8) Operators One (1) Apprentice * (OP, OP, A, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP) Nine (9) to Sixteen (16) Operators Two (2) Apprentices (OP, A, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP) Seventeen (17) to Twenty-Four (24) Operators Three (3) Apprentices (OP, A, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP, OP)
APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. The parties agree to participate in the Apprenticeship and Journeyman training programs with the Southern California Operating Maintenance Engineers, Local 501 Apprenticeship Training Trust Fund commencing January 1, 1990, and each year thereafter. The amount shall be $50.00 per unit employee, per year, based on unit employees count as of each December.
APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. 34.01 The Association, the Contractors, the Council of Unions and the Unions agree, in alignment with the Benefits Strategy and obligations to the Labrador Innu, to create training, development and apprenticeship opportunities.
34.02 The Association, the Contractors, the Council of Unions and the Unions agree to the utilization of apprentices as follows:
a) Not less than one (1) apprentice for every three (3) journeypersons; and
b) Not more than two (2) apprentices for each journeyperson.
34.03 Gender Equity and Diversity shall be a consideration when hiring or referring Apprentices to the Project as part of the Parties’ cooperative effort to achieve and sustain participation rates for women and underrepresented groups established in consultation with the Province.
34.04 The employment of apprentices (within regulatory requirements and limitations) will be promoted throughout the duration of the Project and will provide for a spectrum of apprentices from the first year through the fourth year as appropriate to their respective trade(s). The Parties will facilitate this through the effective utilization of the hiring provisions contained in Article 7 of this Agreement.
APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. Individual Employers covered by the terms of this Agreement agree to pay into the Northern California Laborers Apprenticeship and Training Program for each hour worked or paid for on all classifications contained in this Agreement.
APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. 34.01 The Association, the Contractors and the Union, in alignment with the Benefits Strategy and obligations to the Labrador Innu, agree to work cooperatively to create training, development and apprenticeship opportunities as part of their joint responsibility to maintain a supply of skilled tradespersons for the Project.
34.02 The Parties agree to cooperate to the fullest extent with any government instituted Apprenticeship Training Plan including layoff for yearly in-school training where requested by the employee.
34.03 The Association, the Contractors and the Union agree, to the extent permitted by Project conditions and law, to maximize placement and utilization of apprentices.
34.04 Gender equity and diversity shall be a consideration when hiring or referrals of apprentices to the Project as part of the Parties cooperative efforts to achieve, sustain and hopefully surpass participation goals for women and underrepresented groups established in consultation with the Province.
APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. SECTION 5.01: The Area Training Agreement entered into between the Southwestern Line Chapter of NECA, and IBEW Local Union 2286 as approved by the International President on December 29, 2003 and as amended, shall govern all matters of apprenticeship and training, and the financing thereof. Presently, the contribution rate to the Apprenticeship and Training trust is one and a half (1.5%) percent of the gross monthly labor payroll.

APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING. The Area Training Agreement entered into between the Southwestern Line Constructors Chapter of NECA, and IBEW local union number 769 as approved by the International President on August 13, 1999, and as amended, shall govern all matters of apprenticeship and training, and the financing thereof. Presently the contribution rate to the Apprenticeship and Training Trust is one and a half (1.5%) percent of the Gross Labor Payroll. Apprentices’ wages and ratio of apprentice to Journeymen are specified in the Area Training Agreement.
