Common use of Approved Courses Clause in Contracts

Approved Courses. Payments made under the Education Reimbursement Program will be confined to courses: (a) commenced after the officer has completed the appropriate service time required to qualify for the program, and (b) approved for each officer by the Chief of Police or the Chief’s designee. All courses must be taken on the officer’s own time. Courses successfully challenged will not be eligible for payment under this program.

All courses must be taken on the officer’s sworn member's own time. Courses successfully challenged will not be eligible for payment under this program.
