The salaries of all teachers on guide covered by this Agreement are set forth in the Approved Salary Guide, hereto attached as Schedules F-I, F-2 and F-3, except when the employment increment or the adjustment increment, or both, are withheld. B. 1. Teachers employed on a twelve (12) month basis shall be paid in twenty-four (24) semi-monthly installments.

SALARIES - TEACHERS. A. The salaries of all those covered by this Agreement for 2009-2012 school years are set forth in Schedules A1-A4, which are attached hereto and made a part thereof. Schedules for Extra- Curricular, Athletic and other stipends and hourly rates are set forth in Schedules B1 & B2, C1 & C2 and D respectively, which are attached to and made a part thereof. B. No individual shall be advanced in salary, unless his/her service shall have been satisfactory and the Superintendent shall have recommended such advancement. The withholding of any advance in salary, for any given school year shall not create an obligation to restore such advancement. The Board, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, may restore the individual to the position he/she would have had if the advancement had not been withheld. If a staff member, currently “off-guide at Level Q,” earns additional credits during the contract period and advances from one column to another, the staff member shall have their previously approved salary at the former level increased by 5% if moving to MA and 4% if moving from MA to MA+30 or from MA+30 to MA+60. C. Teachers shall be eligible for a change in training level two times per year, September 1st and February 1st. It shall be the responsibility of any teacher employed by the district on September 1 of one year to notify the Superintendent in writing by December 1 of the same year regarding any change or contemplated change in training level for the following school year. Any teacher who begins employment subsequent to September 1 of any one school year must provide similar notification within three months after employment commences. In addition, evidence that such change is merited shall be submitted to the Superintendent not later than October 1 for a September change or March 1st for a February change and, if necessary, a new contract will be issued. D. A teacher who has been on a paid status (work or work plus paid sick leave) for two (2) full marking periods or one-half (1/2) of the work year plus one (1) day, shall qualify in the next school year for a full increase, subject to the provisions of Article XII(B). A teacher who is on a paid status for less than two (2) full marking periods or one-half (1/2) of the work year plus one (1) day, shall receive no increase for the following school year. E. Teachers who are veterans shall receive military service credit in accordance with State law.

SALARIES - TEACHERS. To the extent necessary, the Employer and Teacher agree that the following rates of pay satisfy the guarantee of basic periodic rate of pay in the Act over a period of 12 months. In the event that general salary increases and other related conditions in the Victorian Government sector reduce the Employer's competitive advantage in salary packages, the Employer will review its salaries in consultation with the Committee to ensure Employees are appropriately remunerated. In the course of reviewing salary packages consideration will be given to all available published documentation as follows, but not limited to:  Victorian State Government teachers’ salaries and conditions  Peer group schools’ salaries and conditions (i.e., Victorian metro, co-ed, private, student numbers, similar extra-curricular requirements etc.)  Victorian statistics on general teacher pay increases Subject to satisfactory performance, progression from point 0 to 1 and so on up to 9 takes place annually.   • Supervisory Employees ‌ For the purposes of this Article, the parties agree that Supervisory positions are those that are not excluded under Article 2.0 above and that satisfy the following criteria: a) Employees on Salary Schedule 01 who under Plan A "Nature of Supervision" have either Degree 3 (or higher) or its equivalent; b) Employees on Schedules 02 or 03 on condition they normally supervise other employees.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • Traveling Teachers Traveling teachers are those who are not assigned a dedicated classroom of their own due to limited space. If traveling is necessary within a subject area, traveling status should be rotated. In order to facilitate optimum conditions for instruction, traveling teachers should, to the greatest extent practicable, be provided the following: 1. A quiet, secure space that contains a desk and filing space; 2. Storage space within the classrooms used for instruction; 3. A designated bulletin board and/or chalk or white board in the classrooms used for instruction; 4. An appropriate cart to transfer materials; 5. Supplies needed for instruction to the same extent as other teachers and those unique to traveling teachers.

  • Qualified Personnel Contractor shall utilize only competent personnel under the supervision of, and in the employment of, Contractor (or Contractor’s authorized subcontractors) to perform the Services. Contractor will comply with City’s reasonable requests regarding assignment and/or removal of personnel, but all personnel, including those assigned at City’s request, must be supervised by Contractor. Contractor shall commit adequate resources to allow timely completion within the project schedule specified in this Agreement.

  • Student Teachers A. The term "student teacher" as used hereinafter shall refer to student teachers, intern teachers and all other such programs. Agreement to become a supervising teacher of a student teacher shall be strictly voluntary and is recognized not to result in such bargaining unit members becoming supervisors within the meaning of the Public Employment Relations Act (PERA). Probationary teachers are prohibited from accepting student teachers. B. It is expressly agreed that the Association may refuse to permit a bargaining unit member from supervising or directing the activities of a student teacher in the event: 1. The student teacher would displace instructional aides, para- professionals, or other current employees then employed. 2. The use of such student teacher would be used by the Employer as a basis for not hiring additional bargaining unit personnel. C. The Board shall disclose all terms of any agreement between it and any student placing institution. The terms and conditions of placement of student teachers shall be consistent with this agreement, unless otherwise agreed to by the Association. D. The supervising teacher shall have the right to accept an honorarium or other such token of appreciation as may be offered by the student/intern placing institution. E. Prior to acceptance of a student teacher, there shall be a meeting between the teacher, prospective student teacher, principal, president of the Association or an executive committee member of the Association. Following this interview, the teacher shall then have the right to accept or reject the student teacher. F. Any terms or conditions of this section not previously specified in this agreement shall be negotiated between the Board and the Association prior to implementation of future programs.

  • Substitute Teachers 21.01 A substitute teacher is employed by the Division either to replace a regular teacher or fulfill an assignment which is less than twenty (20) consecutive days in duration. 21.02 Upon commencement of the sixth (6th) day of substitute teaching in the same assignment, a substitute teacher shall be paid for each day taught at the per diem rate (to be calculated as 1/x of the salary to which a teacher of the same qualifications and experience would be entitled under the basic salary schedule of the current collective agreement, where x equals the number of days in the current school year). This rate of pay shall be retroactive to the first day of the teaching assignment and shall continue in effect until the end of that specific teaching assignment. In-service days, administrative days and school closure days shall not constitute a break in the consecutive days for that specific teaching assignment. 21.03 Substitute teachers shall be paid as follows: Daily Rate (including vacation pay) 165.66 ** **Substitute Teacher rates for the 2021/2022 school year will be effective on the date the parties confirm the amount of the COLA adjustment (in January 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.) Pay relating to the salary earned by substitute teachers during any month shall be forwarded to those teachers not later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the following calendar month. 21.04 Manitoba Teachers’ Society fees and Xxxxxxx Teachers’ Association fees shall be deducted from a substitute teacher’s pay. The Association shall indemnify and save harmless the Division from any and all losses, costs, liabilities or expenses suffered or sustained by the Division as a result of any claim or legal action arising from the deduction of local Association fees or Manitoba Teachers’ Society Fees. 21.05 A substitute teacher who has been employed for at least nine (9) consecutive days of substitute teaching in the same assignment in a school year shall be entitled to one (1) day of sick leave with pay for each nine (9) days taught in that assignment. Sick leave shall not accumulate from assignment to assignment. The use of sick leave with pay shall not constitute an interruption of the substitute teaching assignment. 21.06 If a substitute teacher is absent from a period of substitute teaching on account of bereavement leave granted in accordance with Board practice or policy, and that substitute teacher returns to the same substitute teaching assignment immediately following the period of bereavement, the period of leave shall not constitute an interruption of the substitute teaching assignment. 21.07 The provisions of the Collective Agreement do not apply to substitute teachers except as expressly provided for in Article 21 – Substitute Teachers: Article 1 – Obligation To Act Fairly Article 2 – Purpose

  • Personnel Selection Leave 35.6.1 Where an employee participates in a personnel selection process for a position in the Public Service, as defined in the Financial Administration Act, the Council shall grant leave of absence with pay for the period during which the employee's presence is required for purposes of the selection process, and for such further period as the Council considers reasonable for the employee to travel to and from the place where his presence is so required.
