Common use of Article 29 - Hours of Work Clause in Contracts

Article 29 - Hours of Work. Hours of work shall be administered in accordance with the current collective agreement with the following exception: Clause 29.01 – Hours of work shall be scheduled so that employees work an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) regular hours per week scheduled over a period not exceeding one hundred and twelve (112) days. Once a shift schedule is posted, shift start times for the duration of that schedule shall not be varied except by mutual agreement at the local level. For clarity, this does not restrict management’s right to change an employee’s shift schedule in accordance with Clause 29.07.of the current collective agreement. Shift cycle selection methodology shall be determined by mutual agreement at the local level.
