Standard Hours of Work. 4.01 (a) The standard hours of work for nurses coming within the scope of this Collective Agreement shall be thirty-five (35) hours per week.
Standard Hours of Work. 5.1 The standard daily hours for each classification shall be as specified in Schedule “A”, and;
(a) a lunch period of one (1) hour unpaid, is to be arranged and allowed by the Employee's Department Head in accordance with the needs of the Department by mutual agreement between the parties, this lunch break may be altered, and
(b) each Employee is to be allowed a fifteen (15) minute rest period in the first half and in the second half of such scheduled hours of work or of each shift, whichever is the case, and
(c) the hours of work may be arranged to accommodate the "flex-time" policies of the Employer; such arrangements to be subject to the approval of the Department Head or designate. It is further understood that the standard hours for specific classifications or groups within a classification may be altered by mutual agreement of the parties to address specific operational considerations that may arise.
5.2 The standard hours of work described in this Article are stated solely for the purpose of calculating overtime and shall not be construed as a guarantee of any minimum or as a restriction of any maximum number of hours worked.
5.3 In order that Employees will have as much advance notice as possible, schedules for those Employees working altered hours, as described in article 5.1 will be posted no less than fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. This however, will be done on the understanding that adjustments to the schedule may be required in response to attendance as it pertains to personnel.
5.4 The standard working days shall be five (5), Monday to Friday inclusive, with the exception that Employees assigned to shift work and trouble calls will be required to work on any regularly assigned consecutive five (5) day period in any weekly period of seven (7) days. Employees may be excluded from this provision by mutual consent.
5.5 An Employee who reports for work on a scheduled working day and who has not been previously notified not to report shall be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) hours work or pay.
5.6 For Employees who work on a regularly scheduled shift basis, the Employer shall post such schedule thirty (30) calendar days in advance. The schedule shall not be changed without advising the Recording Secretary of the Union, in which case ten (10) calendar days notice must be given to the affected Employee and the Recording Secretary of the Union. Standard Hours of Work. For the purposes of this Article, there will be a cycle of consecutive three (3) week periods commencing January 4, 2009 (see the calendar on the inside back cover of this Collective Agreement showing the division into three (3) week periods). Where an Employer has established a different cycle of consecutive three (3) week periods, the transition will be made in such a way that no wages are lost and no overtime is earned simply by reason of the transition to the generally established cycle.
(a) Hours of work shall not exceed one hundred and twelve (112) hours in a three (3) week period, or eight (8) hours in any one day.
(b) For full-time and part-time Employees, the shift schedule shall provide for six (6) scheduled days off in each three (3) week period in addition to any public holiday falling within the period, and Employees shall be scheduled no less than two (2) consecutive days off. Additionally, full-time Employees shall be scheduled for a seventh (7th) Additional Day of Rest (ADR) in conjunction with an Employee’s scheduled days off or scheduled Statutory Holiday off or on a day which is mutually agreed upon. Up to three ADRs can be banked, to be taken at the Employee’s discretion subject to operational considerations. Where provision of service is enhanced by banking additional ADRs, the union and Employer may agree to do so. If the hours of work in a three (3) week period exceed one hundred and twelve (112) hours by reason of the Employee wishing to bank her ADRs, overtime rates shall not be payable for the hours so worked. Banked ADRs must be used in the fiscal year they accrued.
(c) Employees shall not be required to work more than six (6) consecutive calendar days.
Standard Hours of Work. (a) For the purposes of this article it is recognized that the standard workweek in the Kamloops seniority block shall be 37 hours, Monday to Saturday according to each branch schedule. The standard day shall consist of not more than eight hours per day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
(b) The standard workweek for branches in the other seniority blocks shall consist of 35½ hours, Monday to Saturday according to each branch schedule. The standard day shift shall consist of 7½ hours per day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
(c) The standard day shift and standard workweek is not intended to be a guarantee of hours of work.
Standard Hours of Work. 4.1 Employees working other than on office hour schedule or a 7-day week operation are to work such hours as are designated for each classification as outlined in Schedule “A”.
4.2 The lunch period for all staff working other than office hours shall be one-half (1/2) hour duration.
4.3 The standard hours of work described in this Article are stated solely for the purpose of calculating overtime and shall not be construed as a guarantee of any minimum or as a restriction of any maximum number of hours worked.
Standard Hours of Work. 4.2.1 The standard hours of work shall be defined as regularly scheduled twenty-four (24) hours per week or less averaged over each bi-weekly pay period.
4.2.2 The standard hours of work may be increased up to eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours per week for up to three (3) weeks as applicable for each of the following periods: the Christmas break, March break, university study breaks, university exam periods (normally the middle two weeks in December and the last two weeks in April of each year) and the Easter break.
4.2.3 The standard hours of work may be increased up to eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours per week to offer programs in the event of unforeseen school closures during the school year.
4.2.4 The standard hours of work may be increased up to eight (8) hours per day, up to twenty (20) days per year for replacement situations for work in this Bargaining Unit.
4.2.5 The Employer may, with the approval of the Union, require employees to work more than twenty-four (24) hours per week where the Employer identifies a specific need or program. The Employer and the Union agree to participate in meaningful consultation on a case-by-case basis to discuss the specifics of each situation and all agreements must be confirmed in writing.
Standard Hours of Work. 4.1 The standard hours of work for the various classifications shall be as set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto. A one hour unpaid lunch period will be provided in each standard work day. Starting and stopping times on a normal work day shall be dependent on the nature of the operation. At the sole discretion of Management, the Employer may initiate a paid twenty (20) minute lunch period.
4.2 In all departments the standard working days shall be five (5) Monday to Friday inclusive, with the exception that Employees assigned to shift work, maintenance and trouble calls will be required to work on any regularly scheduled five (5) calendar day period in any weekly period of seven (7) calendar days, and the exceptions noted for Xxxxxxxx Paramedic Service and water/wastewater treatment facility supervisors.
4.3 All Employees shall be allowed a fifteen (15) minute rest period in the first half and second half of a shift.
4.4 The aforementioned Standard Hours of Work are stated solely for the purpose of calculating overtime and shall not be construed as a guarantee of any minimum or as a restriction on any maximum number of hours to be worked. The Employment Standards Act shall govern hours of work maximums.
4.5 The Employer will notify the union and affected employee(s) with a minimum of one (1) months’ notice, of any permanent or long term change in scheduled reporting location and/or start time and stop times.
Standard Hours of Work. The standard day shift shall not exceed eight hours per day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.. The standard workweek shall consist of 35½ hours. The standard day shift and standard workweek is not intended to be a guarantee of work.
Standard Hours of Work. 10.01 Regular hours of work will total forty (40) hours per week.
10.02 Standard hours of work are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employees will work their eight (8) hours within this range. Start and finish times are subject to operational requirements and will be scheduled by Management by giving consideration to employees’ personal requirements.
10.03 Employees will work eight (8) hours per day Monday through Friday and will be entitled to twelve (12) flex days annually, two (2) of them scheduled during the Christmas shutdown. The remaining ten (10) flex days can be used throughout the year, up to five (5) flex days at a time. All flex days requests must be approved in advance by the supervisor. Employees receiving flex days pursuant to this clause will be paid for seventy six point three (76.3) hours bi-weekly in recognition of those days off. Employees leaving ENMAX, for any reason, will be paid out the pro-rated portion of their flex days earned but not taken for the year. In the event that flex days were overtaken, the overused flex days will be recovered from the final pay. These amounts will be calculated at straight time.
10.04 Employees are entitled to a one (1) hour unpaid lunch break. If mutually agreed by management and the employee, the lunch break may be reduced to one-half (1/2) hour, and start/stop time will be adjusted accordingly.
